http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/packers.html

Here's the transcript:

Kiley: "You must say to yourself, why doesnt Brett speak to me. What could it possibly be? "

Rodgers: "I dont know. Thats a question for him. Im not going to put words in his mouth. When we lost to the Giants [in the 2007 NFC Championship], we left as friends, and I havent talked to him in a year."

Irvin: "Why will you not reach out to him?"

Rodgers: "I did."

Irvin: "So you called him and he did not call you back."

Rodgers: "Yeah."

I know some people will say "Why should he call him at all?" I don't dispute that. The fact is though that he gladly reached out to Romo with his injury and made sure the media knew about it. Why would he do that and ignore his friend for 3 years?

I also understand that Favre feels some resentment to the person who was chosen over him as Green Bay's QB. It just seems petty though to ignore Rodgers phone calls.

What do you guys think?

So did Rodgers.

I don't want this to become a pissing match...but it seems like Rodgers valued their friendship and was somewhat hurt by him completely ignoring his calls.

Edit: It does seem sort of high school behavior talking about a guy ignoring calls. It just seems Rodgers did feel genuinely hurt by it. The hosts (Irvin and the other guy) seem to believe it did.

Yeah, this. I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I've become since the end of the 2007 season. I just have to treat everything that happened before then as a completely separate entity, or I will start to frown at my wall of Favre memorabilia.

While I agree that Brett did not handle much right in the whole situation since the loss to the Giants, I also think this.

I do not think Rodgers should be talking about this at all.

He needs not make Brett look like an ass on Superbowl week. Just side step the fricken question. "Guys, thanks for asking, I know it is your job, but that is all history.

I wasn't going to comment on this at all because everyone would take this as a pissing match, But i do have to say after listening to the podcast i actually feel sorry for him. Irving the ass had to bring up all the bs from the circus last year and really didn't even talk about his on the field play. Irving just looking for ratings is all i got from it. Thats as far as i will comment.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Yea, it seems like every interview he's had started with the Favre fiasco. I'm sure Rodgers is tired of it.
