Any honest competitive athlete will tell you that you target a team's weakest link. We all agree on that, right? Yes, of course, because you are smart and you know a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.

If you know the opponent has a player with an rib injury, you're going to put a little extra oomph into that area and probably even target that area. A plethora of players have admitted this and nearly ever retired player acknowledged they did too.

The injury report the NFL mandates needs to go, or overhauled. It is not our right to know the health of a player, nor is it that of any team.

Why do we feel the need to know why a player did not practice or why they were limited? It is absolutely none of our business and serves no one any benefit whatsoever.

Solution one is to abolish it altogether. Solution two would be to list the level of participation of players who did not participate fully in practice. No reason given, just simply Player X was limited in practice. That is all that WE should be told and that is all WE should be demanding.

Proof the NFL does not care about the health of the players can be found in the fact that they still FORCE teams to produce injury reports that other teams use as weapons to further hurt players.

As for getting rid of the "Injury" part which list what's wrong with the player... I would be alright with that. Though maybe something added in it's place... such as a Return Status... like is it "Day to Day" type injury, "Couple of Weeks" type injury, "Month" injury... etc...

Also while we're talking about changing the injury stuff... IF the NFL is going to do this return IR deal... why not make it possible for all players? And not just a single one per year? I feel like it should be an all or none type deal... not a single player.

It's not a question of people being "cry babies." It's a question of the integrity of the game.
