Of course McGinn needs to get his shots in. Dredging up Jolly and Lyerla in addition to Guion as "proof" that the Packers are actively seeking out criminals to put on the field. [horseow]

The Packers cultivate a holier than thou image, and their followers eat it up. The truth is, the Packers are like just about every other NFL franchise when it comes to looking the other way and hoping for the best when it comes to procuring problem players.

This seems really unprofessional to me as it reads as a butthurt "payback" article because of McCarthys garbage comment. I guess the journal sentinel is running out of actual football content to go over so they've got to dig up and make a big deal out of Colt Lyerla of all things.

It's like I said before, this stuff maybe had some relevance about 4 months ago but bringing it up now out of nowhere when it has nothing to do with anything currently happening with the team just looks desperate and unprofessional.

I don't think you will find a team that has nithung but boy scouts on their entire roster.

Bye week and Mcguin and company had their feelings hurt because McCarthy called the former article what it was.

No new news in this article, just a writer trying to up his numbers with negative remarks.

First, just because Lily Cohen pissed down his leg when Davis approached doesn't mean Davis was intimidating; it just means Cohen is a weasal little pissant w/ a guilty conscience.

This is really pissing me off: See 1265 and I know the guy who filed the civil suit, One Martius Develle Holland-He is a ba'a'a'a'ad dude. And Cohen is a lazy inept moron or he knew this stuff and buried it to make Guion look bad. And that is why charges were never filed. The story below talks of how Holland got off a gun charge through intimidation that was gonna send him away for a while. But, I think they're gonna get him this time. A summons was returned on October 5, 2015 for another Assault w/ firearm and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon-He's going away on this one! If he gets any of Letroy's $$ [Impossible], he'll be spending it at the commissary.

The scum attorney for this scum in the complaint in Count 2 for battery stated that "Holland consented to any contact by the Guion." 😂 What a dope. If the contact was consensual it becomes a legal impossibility that a battery occurred; the Complaint also referred to a Holland as the counter-plaintiff and failed to meet the elements for Counts a 1 and 3 for Assault and cyber stalking. It's like some clown watched 3 episodes of people's court; copied a complaint from the internet and used a word processor to write over various words to tailor it to the subject circumstance; but they were hurried and missed a bunch of things that should have been overwritten and of course tehre was no proof-read.

here's one story:

The trial of a Macclenny man with a lengthy criminal record for pointing a pistol at another man during a street fight in June, 2012 ended abruptly earlier this month when the victim took the stand and refused to testify against him.
The prosecution, which had already dropped a count of firing a weapon in public against Martius D. Holland, had little choice but to dismiss the remaining two charges against him, aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm
by a convicted felon.
Ricky Tisdale, 31, also of Macclenny, was sworn in February 10 as the state’s chief witness
and promptly declared several times in response to questioning “I don’t want nothin’
to do with this case,” according to witnesses in the courtroom at the time. Circuit Judge William Davis, sitting in for Judge Mark Moseley, said he had never seen a situation like that
before.
The judge later advised the witness, who also has an extensive criminal record, of the penalties for contempt of court for refusing to testify, though he was not charged with that offense.
After speaking outside the courtroom with several other witnesses, Assistant State Attorney Loralie Papel told the court with the six-member jury out of the room that the prosecution was dropping the remaining charges.
That second offense under Florida Law is a so-called “10-20-life” referring to the minimum,
mandatory sentences for having a firearm while committing a forcible felony.
Based on statements that day, it is surmised that Mr. Holland, who was out on bond pending trial, threatened Mr. Tisdale and others with recrimination if they testified.
Mr. Holland, 31, whose lengthy arrest record is rife with drug-related offenses, including one in 2009 that resulted in a prison sentence, was most recently taken into custody
on February 4 on a warrant for sale and possession of cocaine and marijuana in south Macclenny. He allegedly sold the drugs to a buyer cooperating with the sheriff’s department.

I don't get the comparison between Guion & Lyerla and Jolly. With the latter two, everyone knew what they had done and they both paid the price in terms of suspensions, legal action and being away from the sport (I can only imagine Jolly's feelings watching his team win the Super Bowl without him*) before they (re)joined the team. While Lyerla was sketchy, it was well known that he needed a strong figure and a supportive environment to corral him in, something that was lacking after Kelley went to the Eagles. McGinn tries to play a sleight of hand on the mind by pointing out his DUI a week after being cut, as if it was inevitable. That said, I'm not gonna bury my head in the sand with Lyerla, putting a guy like him in Wisconsin and it's drinking culture and general lack of anything to do for a season would have been a risk that required constant attention. But it didn't happen so why is he making a big deal about it?

*Can you imagine Jolly, Pickett, a motivated BJ, Cullen Jenkins that year? That would have been a sick dline.

FAct is, this team is a supportive environment for troubled players. Look at Charles Woodson. He was viewed as a malcontent before he came here. We ressurrected his career and he became a DPOY and a venerated team leader. Hell, he's a sure fire HoFer now.

Jolly served his suspension and came back for one season. He was contrite. The Packers in fairness gave him a second chance.

Lyerla was a trouble player and the Packers gave him a chance. He F'd that chance up and was released. He was not brought back despite a dearth of playmakers at his position.

This is just some bullshit tit for tat between the Urinal and the franchise. We all know Ted won't give an inch if he thinks he's in the right. Pressuring him with tabloid BS is not gonna have the desired result.

Zero2Cool (1h) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (1h) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (1h) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (1h) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (1h) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (1h) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (1h) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (1h) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (2h) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (2h) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (3h) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (3h) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (3h) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (3h) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (3h) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (4h) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (4h) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (4h) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (4h) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (4h) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (5h) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (5h) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (5h) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (6h) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (6h) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (7h) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (7h) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (7h) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (7h) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (7h) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (7h) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (7h) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (7h) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (7h) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (7h) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
beast (7h) : We already have told you... if Packers lose all their games (they won't, but if they did), and Buccaneers and Falcons win all theirs
Zero2Cool (7h) : I posted it in that Packers and 1 seed thread
Zero2Cool (8h) : I literally just said it.
packerfanoutwest (8h) : show us a scenario where Pack don't get in? bet you can't
Zero2Cool (8h) : Falcons, Buccaneers would need to win final two games.
Zero2Cool (8h) : Yes, if they win one of three, they are lock. If they lose out, they can be eliminated.
packerfanoutwest (8h) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
Zero2Cool (8h) : Packers should get in. I just hope it's not 7th seed. Feels dirty.
packerfanoutwest (8h) : If packers lose out, no matter what, they are in
packerfanoutwest (8h) : both teams can not male the playoffs....falcon hold the tie breaker
packerfanoutwest (8h) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (8h) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (8h) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (8h) : Packers will get in
beast (8h) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
