DeSean Jackson would cost something up front and a hefty near 8 figure salary. He is not worth it. If you can promise he'll be healthy, then I'd be more inclined because his attitude would be no issue here in Green Bay. I worry about his health. He's got a bum shoulder like Randall Cobb and also a hamstring injury.

Sorry, I just can't get on this bandwagon at all. I know Jackson too well.

Seems to me our biggest need is TE, then LT.

The only trade I would consider is Jennings if the WR Corps doesn't get healthy soon. It is much different when a guy walks into the dressing room as will not miss a beat. Everyone else is behind the 8-ball learning the program.

Packers are going to be fine at WR without mistakenly trading for an injured WR.

Trades need to happen in the off season before the draft. Nobody is going to help the Packers out this year by trading a legitimate receiver.

I'd see where Ty is sitting with his injury this week. You still have roughly two weeks to go until the NFL trade deadline and your probably getting Davante back for the Denver game. He, Jones, and Cobb should be good enough to hold most of the WR snaps if Ty is going to miss a few weeks with a bum wheel.

To me, if you're going to go get another passing threat, a TE like Vernon Davis makes a heck of a lot more sense whose on the final year of his current deal and probably wouldn't cost a high draft pick to get given he's been in an ineffective offense at best this season. Not to mention he'd probably jump at the chance to play for a contender like GB before hitting FA next year since he's only 31 and will be looking for one more decent contract.

Packers have 6 WRs already on the roster and unless one goes to the IR, I don't feel like there is room for another (and I don't feel like cutting/releasing any of them)... so between the WRs and TEs I'd be looking at the TEs.

TEs who are both, at least 30 and on losing record teams are...

Antonio Gates (SD), Vernon Davis (SF), Benjamin Watson (NO), Marcedes Lewis (Jax) and Gary Barnidge (Cle).

~ I can't see the Chargers letting Gates go even with his age and their record.

~ Davis is reportedly on the trade block but he's got 354 yards in his last 18 games played with only 2 TDs and mostly because he's been banged up / injured and have a questionable QB.

~Watson has mainly been a blocking TE for the Saints, but having to get more involved after the Jimmy Graham trade and just had a career night with 10 catches for 127 yards and a TD (and Brees admit to missing him on another long TD when he would of scored). I'm doubting they would trade him, after stripping all of the other offensive weapons from the team, they got to keep someone to not have the fans and Drew Brees revolt.

~ Lewis has normally been a bright spot in the Jaguars losing darkness but he's been struggling the last two years and only has 6 catches this year... 5 of which came in a single game. Lewis might be done, or being used wrongly.

~ Barnidge has been a career back-up, nothing special... until at the age of 30 he FINALLY had his break out year, with the Browns and in 6 games he has 27 catches for 413 yards with very big games against the Raiders, Chargers and Ravens (all who have struggling defenses so he might be a bit overrated but still he's putting up the big numbers with the Browns) an he got 2 TDs against the Broncos (the only TDs by his team). But of the Packers players, only Cobb has more catches than him (3 more) and only Jones has more yards than him (9 more yards). I'm guessing the Browns would NOT want to trade him. Even though he's age and their record, they just signed Tramon Williams for a 3 year deal so they seem to be trying to win now some.

Yeah, Vernon Davis is the only somewhat reasonable target, but I don't see it happening. No way. It would likely help the Packers, but it won't happen.
