The unit is being made to look like shit because of one player at tackle not playing well enough. The interior of our line is solid. You saw that again today, and that hold on Bakh was 100% on Aaron. Aaron believes a sack is better than an INT. We're just going to have to accept that fellas. When teams defend us this way, we have to run the ball well. We are a balanced enough team to do that. We might not even win this type of game back in 2011.

I don't like the way he HAS to run around constantly. It scares me that one of these times he's going to get caught from behind and get hurt.

Bulaga probably doesn't get back until after the bye at the soonest. As bad as Barclay was today, he's still probably the best option the team has on the right side for now. He definitely had a bad game today, but SF's defense isn't completely bereft of pass rushers and they still have some horses from that Top 5 front seven they had a could years ago. Three sacks isn't good by any stretch, but I'm not ready to throw the towel in on him yet because I honestly don't think Walker would have faired much better today and Barclay has shown flashes of competent pass blocking back in 2013 and this season.

St. Louis will be a tougher than thought test, but they've got the next two games at home that should help the pass blocking and you know how lights out Aaron has been at home the past few seasons.

Bakhtiari i'm not sure is completely over that knee injury and Barclay is just bad. Luckily we have such a good group in the middle that Rodgers always has a place to step up in the pocket. With a lesser group up front I think we'd be in a lot of trouble right now.

I don't get why our coaches don't keep a tight end over there to help Barclay? It's just poor coaching.

I have to admit that the team is looking better than I thought they would.

I still think the OL (and its insufficiency of its quality) is going to get Rodgers knocked out of the game before this season is over. Because I agree with Dakota, Tex, Cheesey, and others who are saying that sacks and related statistics are not all of the story.

(Sorry, Kevin, on this one I disagree with you, though I do thank you for doing the work of posting the stats.)

For example, I posted the stats of the Packers OL that could make the Tackles look very bad in comparison to the inner linemen, right? That is a toothless statistic unless you know all 31 other inner linemen vs Tackle statistics. Maybe the inner linemen rarely ever give up hurries? The NFL is always looking for Edge Pass Rushers, right?

So the statistics I thought were interesting, I by no means believe them to tell the full story.

Maybe they're expecting Aaron to get the ball out.

Why they would expect that, I have no idea. Also it seemed the Niners were prepared for the free plays thing.
