There was kinda a "challenge" to do this a couple weeks ago, and a few posters did it. That was generally before Nelson went down, etc.

Now seems like a good time.

QB: Keep All Three - slam dunk here

RB: After Lacy and Starks, we can only keep one of 3 talented players. I'll go with Neal - Betting on the favorite is the way to win at the race track.

FB: I wouldn't be surprised to see old Kuhn get cut; I wouldn't be surprised if they decide even though Ripkowski is doing so well, they decide they can get just as good a FB next year, but I will go with keeping BOTH.

WR: I'll go with my heart and gut - Cobb, Janis, Adams, Montgomery, White, and yes, Abbrederis, with Pinkard hopefully on the practice squad.

TE: Rodgers, Quarless, and Backman

O Line: 8 of them - Sitton, Bulaga, Lang, Linsley, Bakhtiari, then Walker, Tretter, and I'm gonna guess Barclay plays his way off the team and we keep somebody - maybe Rotheram unless we pick up somebody cut by another team.

Special Teams: Crosby and Goode are locks, Masthay not so much, but I think they do like with Crosby a couple of years ago - give him another chance.

D Back: I haven't heard anything long term negative about Hyde's injury. I think we go with the Max and keep 11 talented players - Shields, Hayward, Randall, Rollins, Gunter, Goodson - Corners, and Clinton-Dix, Burnett, Hyde, Banjo, and even though I don't like it, Richardson.

That's 39 so far, so 14 between LBs and D Line.

LB: Matthews, Barrington, Peppers, Elliot, Mulumba, Neal, Palmer, Ryan, and Vaughters - that's 9 - who of consequence goes? I hope/think Perry and Bradford.

That leaves just 5 D Linemen: Guion is gone for 3 and Datone gone for 1 game. I will go with Daniels, Boyd, Pennell, Raji - grudgingly, and Gaston. That means Thornton and Ringo get cut - maybe 1 or both to the practice squad. I think we can get by with 5 as Neal and even Peppers can play D Line in a pinch. What happens after 1 week when Datone comes back? I'd obviously cut Raji, but I won't predict that. I suppose Gaston goes. What happens when Guion comes back? I think Guion gets cut - that is a prediction.

Interesting! I agree with most of your evaluation except the following:

I insist there is no way we cut Lane Taylor, he has played very well in the preseason games. IMO he is the backup of Sitton or Lang.

I have a lot of doubts about Goodson and Banjo. Goodson is not doing anything interesting and Banjo seems to be slowly developing into Jarret Bush 2.0, I like Banjo, he was my surprise to make the team a few years ago but he hasn't progressed. I don't like Richardson either. To be honest I don't like any of our safeties.

I don't think we'll cut Perry but I would applaud that move. He is a waste of time. I don't like Bradford but being a Ted Thompson pick I think he might make it.

Gaston is a lock because of the suspensions and I see you are finally showing some love for BJ 😁

You wait until they drop down to 75 to make your prediction? Big balls there! 😃

I do agree on six WR and how you have that played out there.

It possibly could be a thread on its own, but does anyone else think at least somebody within our final 53 will be from a cast-off from some other team?

I look at our DL and think there has to be somebody out there that can be better then what we got.

I really think we do keep six WRs regardless of whether Abbrederis is healthy enough - if he is gone, I think Pinkard stays.

The 53rd player in my book - the worst keeper - is Rotheram. Yeah, he is a toss up or worse with Lane Taylor, and yeah, we might pick up somebody off the scrap heap but there - O Line would be the place, not D Line IMO.

They will keep Barclay he's not gonna play LT unless its an emergency. I'd like to think we'd switch spots with Bulaga and put Barclay at RT in the reg season if something happened to Bak. 8th spot will come down to Taylor, Walker and Rotteram. Most likely Taylor. But having an extra tackle on the team doesn't hurt since Barclay is versatile.

Think Abby will end up on the PS since he hasnt played at all except this upcoming one. No other WRs are worth that 6 spot. Maybe we'll bring in an outside FA that's been cut. But I wouldn't mind at all if he was just thrown on our team as long as we use up our remaining 53 wisely.

They prolly will keep Palmer and Bradford. Idunno why they'd cut Perry, that in itself would be a not so wise move and it certainly wouldn't help this team. Since he has 1 more year left on his contract, use him up at least and see what he has.

Goodson and Banjo is a toss up. Depends so much who plays better on ST, which I've not really payed attention to.

I haven't had a chance to see any of the preaseason. How has Raji looked?

Tex, you did a pretty good job. I think Rotheram making it depends on whether or not they keep 6 WRs. And that will probably depend on what Abby shows tonight. Abby would probably get picked up by a team if put on the PS. Anyone looking would think the Packers have high hopes for him having kept him around this long.

3 QB's
6 WR's
4 RB's
2 FB's
3 TE's
9 O-Linemen
2 Kickers

Defense is still a mystery
