Careful there... if you don't expect this team to go 19-0 that means that you don't want them to be 19-0.

Welcome to THIS year. This team could miss the playoffs THIS year. It ain't last year or the year before that. Past performance never guarantees future results. We do have the QB so there's a good chance you can rest easy in that statement.

The Seahawks were in back to back Bowls...did they rest and say...Hey, we went to two straight SB's we don't need to get better. Other teams would love to be us? NO! Good wasn't good enough for them.

We've seen 1 year of what RR can do. We know Quarless is at least competent albeit certainly far from spectacular, and I'm assuming Ted felt we were "good enough" there so he could focus elsewhere.

Signing Reggie, Eugene, and Beebe are one way to improve your roster or say "good isn't good enough." D&D is another way to address the roster. The Packers saw CB is the biggest need this offseason and they went after it in the draft. The augmented their ST with Monty. They cleaned house at ILB and are relying on returning potential and Ryan. They're addressing needs, just not in the way Wolf did.

Why do you expect to be better other than other teams getting worse? Oh, 2nd year jumps? Like Datone last year?

The issue is NOT trying to improve. I was happy to get Peppers...actually suggested we get him on another forum before we got him. I thought as a ONE year thing it would be good. Now, we're going for two just hoping that tire doesn't blow.

We're left to hoping UDFA's can do something for us as rookies. Sounds like a tremendous plan on improving and winning it all.

Drafting gets you them younger and cheaper.

FA re-sign/acquisition gets them more experienced, likely a little pricier.

As for which performs better? For every Eugene, Michael Bennett, or Reggie there's a Haynesworth, Kreuger, and Matt Cassel. There are draft busts or ones that take a while to develop - then you have first year starters like Linsley, Randy Moss, or Lacy who can make an impact.

Different philosophies based on which you feel will be more successful, NOT based on a desire or lack thereof to win.

Again, it's about MINDSET...you either are a full tilter or you aren't. When you were a kid and you advanced to a championship did you relax and think the worst you could do is get a 2nd place trophy or were you obsessed and driven to get the one that mattered? As fans, I see a lot of the just happy to be here mindset. James Harrison doesn't know you! If you don't get the reference check out the story about him and his children on ESPN.com.

I mentioned Moss because he made an impact as a rookie, like Lacy, Linsley, RG3, Cobb, etc. You can get production from rookies.

D&D doesn't mean you're not eager to win. The Packers addressed some of their immediate needs in the draft.

You draft for need because you need a starter and that's never a good approach. The BPA is skipped over because you're looking for a starter at ONE position. You end up drafting who you think is best at ONE position instead of ALL positions. Is it a wonder that's kinda dumb?

I know you can get production from rookies...it ain't a sound strategy to depend on it.

The O, Buck, is fine minus the TE position. Where have I been railing the O other than RZ where TE is a big reason they suck down there? I said, today, and a long time ago I think our O is good enough to carry us to an undefeated regular season.

Very well could be counting on Gunter, any of the TE's once Quarless is suspended/cut and RR gets hurt, or even if he doesn't. Who is playing DL the first few weeks? Will Gaston not have to play? I already detailed what very well could happen because of how we're set up. You didn't need to reask...just reread.
