With very real possibility of an uncapped year or two the Packers being a small market team are going to face some challenges.

I realize they do have a reserve fund, and I hope it was not heavy in stock investments.

This brings up the question. What can the Packers do to create more revenue?

The Packers have a huge fan base and I think revenue could be increased from the Packers Pro Shop. However, to increase that revenue could destroy some long time traditions and upset many of the purists.

Could a second jersey be in the near future? Something radical enough to generate huge jersey sales?

What other ways could the team increase revenue with out increasing ticket prices too high?

Speaking of jerseys i have been seeing some new steeler jerseys where it is 1/2 the home jersey and 1/2 the road, They look sharp i was just wondering if the Packers have any of those.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I dont know if I dare suggest it, but what about offering the games on PPV? NFL Network sucks because you have to have the entire cable package that includes that channel (here anyways). I assume if they offered a NFL PPV game, the team would see more direct profit from it once the NFL and broadcast company has taken their cuts.

Another option is to lease the field. Make the grass available to advertisers to put logos on in chalk/paint. Think NASCAR for the NFL. "Grant with a carry over the right side - tackled at the 7UP 35yard line."

They should rock some throwbacks with ACME across the chest instead of a number. I'd buy like ten of those....

Fricking Brilliant Idea. I would buy that as well.

However, NFL Rules would not allow it in a game. Have to have the number on the front, and they would have to wear the jersey in a game to really sell it world wide and outside of the Pro Shop.

I love the idea though.

EDIT: How about "ACME" on the back replacing the players name?

Who'd go for pay-per-view? I wouldn't even shell out five bucks for a PPV. Cable, satellite, etc. are already expensive enough -- now add on an extra fee per game? Not me. I'd just go somewhere that was showing the game. The Joint downtown hands out free shots every time the Packers score a touchdown.

Why would we go on PPV when we can watch the game via Zero's feed? People aren't that stupid, especially cheap Packers fans.
