Packers could be thin up front in the opener with suspensions

Packers defensive end Datone Jones only got a one game suspension for his violation of the league's substance abuse policy, but the Packers are likely going to be short more than one lineman for that game. As noted by Wes Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Packers are still awaiting word on an expected punishment...

Wonderful planning. Guion likely out...Jones out...Raji off major injury. Our DL is scary bad to begin with.

Purely guessing, but I'm thinking the Packers will have 5 DL week 1, with Guion and Jones on the suspension list, and if no one gets injuries than will cut one of the 5 when one of the two comes back from suspension (and will cut another players at a different position for the other one).

Daniels, Raji, Boyd, Pennel and a battle for the 5th spot.

Thornton, Gaston, Ringo and Hooks all battling for that 5th spot.
