I love Joe Whitt. Sounds like he is pretty hard on the guys, which is exactly what they need. Hopefully they will thank him for it later. I think the quote from an earlier article was "They don't like being around me right now."

Beyond Sam Shields and Casey Hayward is a very young, very under-developed collection of cornerbacks with work to do before Green Bay’s season opener in Chicago.

I think Ted got a little curve thrown at him when Jacksonville offered House the big contract.

The draft and develope ended up with a missing link.

So hopefully Heyward gets healthy and Whitt works his magic with the 3 younger guys.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

The contract Davon was offered was equal to winning the lottery with a ticket you didn't buy.

Here again is a team with a first contract QB, so they have a lot of extra money to throw around and take chances with. And hungry for a winner. Personally, I think they went way overboard on Devon, easy decision for TT. I'm more excited about the two rooks we have than I would have been about House, but I did like him and wish him well, except of course against us.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

The rookie DBs will be fine. Just like Dix was last year. And Shields before that. To say nothing of Hyde and Hayward.

Joe Whitt is a very solid coach. I'd consider him as DC at some point. Knock on wood.

At this time, The Packers CB's are :

Sam Shields - 6yr - Miami (Fla.)
Casey Hayward - 4yr - Vanderbilt
Demetri Goodson - 2yr - Baylor
Tay Glover-Wright - 1yr - Utah State
Benard Blake - R - Colorado State
LaDarius Gunter - R - Miami
Travis Manning - R - N.W. Missouri State
Quinton Rollins - R - Miami (Ohio)
Damarious Rollins - R - Arizona State

IMO, this Secondary is very weak. In addition, if Shields and/or Hayward go down, teams will pad their Offensive numbers through the air. The proof will come on the fields of this seasons regular games. Experienced WR's will be licking their chops to play the Packers. (But don't blame TT, he just signs the checks after all . )
