With Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball, you could have a swinging tire on the end of the line and it wouldn't be a weakness. I never liked having some sort of hybrid or whatever Finley was; I liked it a lot better with Quarless and Rodgers at TE - regular normal dual purpose types. Both of these guys should be improved and more than adequate. What I want to see more of, though, and what I think will happen is going with 3, 4, or even 5 wide receivers and de-emphasizing the TE position. I'd much rather have faster more athletic guys catching passes. Having 3 TEs on the roster should make carrying 6 or even 7 wideouts a possibility.

As for weakest position on offense, despite some degree of upgrade last season, I still think that award goes to the O Line. Aaron Rodgers has to use his escapability just about every time he drops back, and Eddie Lacy is hit before getting to the line way too big a percentage of the time.

I actually remember our offensive line differently. There were multiple times (especially when Rodgers was hurt) where it felt like Rodgers had an eternity to make his reads.

As for AAron, he has a history of holding the ball too long, looking deep. But I won't go into THAT.

One more thing: I'd like to see how Montgomery looks. He's kind of a hybrid RB/WR. Maybe with the new playcaller we'll get more of a screen game going for real this time. Can you imagine Monty or Cobb in the open field with blockers out in front?

With a new OC comes new ideas. Until I see how they intend to attack teams via formation etc it's impossible to really answer. I thought are TE last year were poor in the redzone and at times looked like poo blocking.

I don't think that changed much but again want to see how things look in August.

Couldn't begin to imagine if we were the ones who nabbed Jimmy Graham. We're stuck with slop at the position, again. It has a Nick Collins feel to it all over again. I do think RR is better than Jerron McMillian was as a safety.

Keep drafting mid to low round guys and never address with a solid free agent. Cameron from Cleveland was just sitting out there. Let's just wish one of these new guys to being a good TE. That'll work as well as it did with the S position.

Graham had a bit of a down year last year, his big year was his second; but let's take the average of his best 4 years [2-5] 138 targets; 89 rec; 1099 yards 11.5 tds. All of Seattle's TEs last year were 84 targets; 48 catches and 757 yards, if we extrapolate so targets are equal, Seattle's TEs had 138 targets; 78 catches, 1243 yards 9.5 tds. Seattle TE are better receivers than Graham especially considering Graham had Brees throwing to him.

Rodgers had 30 T, 20 catches 225 yards in 2014; if adjusting for 138 targets Rodgers would have had 92 catches; 1035 yards 9 tds.

Now if we introduce blocking and being a good teammate...It is not even close I'd take Luke Wilson, helflet, Miller and Moiki over Graham straight up anytime. And I'd easily take 2015 Rodgers too.

Now when we consider Seattle relatively lost a 1st rounder; lost Unger; and lost $10M [8M on Graham; 2.5M on Unger; less cost of any other TE mentioned]; it is clear it is one of the dumbest deals in NFL history.

I'm going to guess Graham has a stellar year in Seattle and it won't be quite as bad as you're intimating.

To say Richard Rodgers is a "slight" downgrade from Jimmy Graham is something I wouldn't have expected from you.

Jimmy G. in our O would've been beyond belief. Can you imagine the red zone possibilities alone? Man.

We'll keep rolling out scrubs and prop them up in talk...the Packers and Packers fan way. Quarless is a total scrub. Yeah, I know we won a SB with him, but he's a pretty poor TE when it comes to making big plays for us. Somebody cue the Miami play! Perhaps, had he not shredded his leg he may have been different for us. Richard Rodgers? Hard to say but I doubt he's much more than Quarless. When guys like Backman and the UDFA Henry are turning heads I often wonder if that's because of the garbage those media guys are used to being exposed to?

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Last time a GM got fleeced on a trade like this was when some loser traded for John Hadl in the 70's.

Arguing the trade is good because Seattle went to 2 straight SBs is a signal that you simply cant back your opinion with objective and cogent football argument. Moreover, this is exact logic and thinking that you have devoted your life to stomping out as it pertains to TT. Ya know, that all moves Ted Thompson make are great because we won it in 2010 [though I've never seen a GB fan act that way]. Oh, and its wrong. Schneider built his team off the back of TT's draft board. He could have had a 4-5-6 year run; but his degenerate gambling steroid-like induced aggression limited it to just 1 glorious season. In 2014, the roster built by Schneider needed both and injury to Carson Palmer to make the playoffs and a Bosticide to play on. That is Seattle went to SB last year DESPITE their goofy GM. And his 2015 roster is infinitely worse than 2014's.

Again, I implore you to apply what you know about football to your opinions; there is a huge disconnect. I implore you to OPEN YOUR MIND. You take one stat and argue Janis is great to the exclusion of all else; you use one stat to say Adams blows to the exclusion of all else. Did you even watch Graham play last year? Graham got his money; he was a decent WR; but in 2014 was an ordinary one; and perhaps the worst starting TE in the game.

Will Graham get his 1200 yards? Possibly to good chance; Will Rodgers? No way, he'll get 40-50% of that [but on 1/3 of the targets]. You routinely fail to take onto account the alternative costs. It not just about signing Jimmy and his 1200 yards to the exclusion of all else. It's about signing Jimmy: MINUS the targets he takes from Nelson and Cobb; MINUS the better blocking he takes from Rodgers and Q [who are stellarly better at blocking]; MINUS the team chemistry dealing with such an egocentric arrogant dildo; MINUS Corey Lindsey; MINUS Damarious Randell; MINUS Mike Daniels in 2016 and beyond.

Looks like we have Abbott and Costello at PH, lol.

Tight End might be the weak link and you can bet they'll have the most players at their particular position, once again.

Probably because they pulled his credentials back in 1995!

This subject has been thoroughly hashed over several times and I 'm pretty sure it will be talked about real soon!

No didn't know The Graham love affair w/ Jimmy G has been long standing.

And Z2C is right; if we signed Graham and he was on hands team; upon the ball being kicked to him, Jimmy not wanting any contact would have done and ola' and let Nelson get the ball. Of course, remember we're MINUS Nelson and he'd undoubtedly be playing for our adversary in the NFC Champ game allowing them to go to SB.

Having Jordy do that to us would have been worse...LOL
