The Packers have an offense that is widely regarded as one of the best in the NFL, but Green Bay would like to see some major improvements at the tight end position next season. Even with established veteran Andrew Quarless and promising second-year player Richard Rodgers, Green Bay’s weakest roster spot on offense will undeniably

Fully confident Rodgers will step up. He's not a 4.3 guy, but he can get it done. Kennard Backman is the wild card there. If he can contribue as much as Rodgers did as a rookie, that will help alot.

First Backman's gotta show he belongs in the NFL. Then next year, he can show how good he can be.

This remains to be seen, but is probably true.
Regardless the Packers aren't a tight end dependent team but it would be a nice option in the red zone.

If having Rodgers/Quarless as our tight ends is considered our weakest link, I think our offense is in damn good shape.

Couldn't begin to imagine if we were the ones who nabbed Jimmy Graham. We're stuck with slop at the position, again. It has a Nick Collins feel to it all over again. I do think RR is better than Jerron McMillian was as a safety.

Keep drafting mid to low round guys and never address with a solid free agent. Cameron from Cleveland was just sitting out there. Let's just wish one of these new guys to being a good TE. That'll work as well as it did with the S position.

Our TE's will do okay by default with so much attention on the outside with Nelson and Cobb and Lacy in the backfield. It is sad that position couldn't be used to enhance our O instead of being dependent on what's already in place to produce.

The DL is almost as weak as the TE position. This team has some pretty big holes.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

With Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball, you could have a swinging tire on the end of the line and it wouldn't be a weakness. I never liked having some sort of hybrid or whatever Finley was; I liked it a lot better with Quarless and Rodgers at TE - regular normal dual purpose types. Both of these guys should be improved and more than adequate. What I want to see more of, though, and what I think will happen is going with 3, 4, or even 5 wide receivers and de-emphasizing the TE position. I'd much rather have faster more athletic guys catching passes. Having 3 TEs on the roster should make carrying 6 or even 7 wideouts a possibility.

As for weakest position on offense, despite some degree of upgrade last season, I still think that award goes to the O Line. Aaron Rodgers has to use his escapability just about every time he drops back, and Eddie Lacy is hit before getting to the line way too big a percentage of the time.
