The Packers will face 4 teams before the regular season starts.

At New England and at Pittsburgh, then at Lambeau against the Eagles and then the Saints.

These are training games that will also evaluate the teams players. As most of the starting players will not see much action, 2nd and 3rd string players will get their best chance to impress. Who will impress, and who will depress us ? What do you expect to see from the opposing teams ? Post your Pre-season predictions here and all will see the reality in a few months.

I also predict that the OL will look very good in preseason and everyone will be nanner-nannering me about my continuing harping on insufficient OL dominance.

Talking about preseason football is the same as talking about how good a hot chick at the club is in bed before you ever speak with her. Until the real action starts, it is just hot air!

The exhibition games are great for fans of football.

The first game blows.
The second seems to be more about immediate depth.
Third has some substance in the first half of a slight indicator of what is going to come.
The fourth is a bunch of no-names fighting their asses off in hopes of landing a spot here or elsewhere.

I say they go 2 - 2

No reason to watch preseason as smokey has already told us all of our rookies are garbage. What will we see? Absolutely no improved players because teams should never need to develop their players. They should be good to go before they are drafted.

Ty Montgomery is going to be on center stage this preseason. I expect him to make Zook look competent and to also get some time at RB.

The Dbacks whould be getting some INTs.

Abbrederis should be showing what he can do. WE'll be finding out the truth about Adrian Coxson. Cand this dude really play? If he's too raw, they'll PS him.

Anxious to see Kennard Backman too. This year's Donald Lee/Tryone DAvis/DJ Williams/Brandon Bostic.

Ryan should be solidifying his spot at ILB.

Then there's the question of 2nd year guys taking their steps forward. Davante Adams and Richard Rodgers come to mind here. Clinton-Dix. You could add in Nick Perry and Datone Jones.

This also includes all those scrubs competing at ILB. Carl Bradford has all the hype, but then there's also Nate Palmer, Joe Thomas, all those guys. Who am I forgetting?

Jayrone Elliott could be the real deal outside.

Then let's talk about the QBs. Aaron needs to stay healthy, but Tolzien gets his shot to prove that he can be "the man" at no. 2. He's got the dedication and work ethic. Mike's QB Guru reputation could be on the line here. Then there's also Hundley. It will be interesting to get a look at him. What can he do? If he really flops, they'll PS him, but I expect him to make the 53.

If Hundley becomes special, Aaron could bring us a huge "Lawrence Welk" type trade in a year or three. But he's got a long way to go to before that. First he's gotta prove he can be a #2.

Can it be preseason already? Love that time of year to watch and find out who is going to come out of nowhere to make a roster. It's also great to be able to watch a game and not be stressed out at all. When the games matter I'm always a nervous wreck, cursing at the TV incessantly. I appreciate the chance to be laid back during games for a change.

Pre-season can also be a time to pick up players in trades, sure up from unpredictable injuries, and and install new plays for the season. It is a time for O and D-linemen to get their timing together. QB's and WR's to get in sink with each other. It the time when the Special Teams to come together. It is the time that the character of the team is formed.

This topic should have been posted on Aug 12th...the OP is asking questions that can only be opinionated. What do pre-season predictions prove? I don't get some of these posts. It might be a tad more interesting if the OP answered her own questions.

dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt ā€œice coldā€
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
beast (20-Jun) : Hmm šŸ¤” re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
