Irony...just right over your heads.

Ted Thompson gets credited with things that have no basis in reality by people here. I can't discredit him based on the same things you do in reverse?

Utterly disgraceful. Thanks, Ted for bringing shame to our organization. Never a lower point in all my 35 years of following this team.

I hope the 600k was worth the organizations reputation.

Hoping Aaron Nagler's tweet on the Vikings proves to be true about our org as well. We need a statement from 1265 today.

Didn't bother me when I read about it before they said what teams were involved, still doesn't bother me.

This org should've released a statement. In Texas, a state senator wants answers to this question that you just want to shrug off because it's the precious Packers. It is always fun watching Ted Thompson get defended as if he's your dog of 15 years.

I mean, are we going to call FOX disgusting for accepting tax payer dollars for the military services?

Maybe if there is any angst here it should be that the Military is spending the money for this instead of who is receiving the money? Even that is a stretch because they have to recruit so we can freely piss and moan, right?

Here is something to think about. National Guard is primary sponsor for Dale Earnhardt Jr's race car. A primary sponsorship costs $5 million on the low end and upwards t o $35 million for one season. This is tax payers money for big stickers on a race car going left turn, left turn, left turn and we're going to piss and moan over $600k over how many years? Make no mistake, I love racing, if I didn't have a family, I would pour every single penny I have into it, but let's be real here folks.

It's interesting that in Chris Christie has responded to this story out east and in Texas a senator is demanding answers but not here in Green Bay. It's okay because it's the Packers. If it wasn't the Packers, I'm sure the thinking on this would be vastly different but that's where objectivity comes into play.

Ted Thompson the great drafter for the ages. Yup. Crown him! Crown his A**! Nope, nobody here does that...nobody. Everyone here has TT's role in our success measured out right down the middle? Ha. That's great stuff.

As Zero has said, the military has budgeted for this sort of stuff so as long as whatever the teams are being reimbursed for falls within the guidelines there really is no issue. As long as the team isn't making a profit off of it I don't see a problem. I do think a good percentage of the fans probably think the team is paying for it though and they are getting the good will that they may not deserve.

Are saying Ted really doesn't draft the players? Yes people crown Ted as a great drafter (rightly or wrongly) but he is the drafter. He is getting credit for what he has done. You are trying to blame him for something he may not have anything to do with.

The one thing I will agree with you on is the amount of "outrage" that would be present if the Packers were not one of the 13 teams. That happens with everything. Other teams do it, bad team. Our team does it, nothing to see here. Not with everyone but with a large percentage.
