Give him two years... He will be Woodson - Woodson.

He will cover like Charles, and hit like Rod.

Great Pick. Another T.T. Gem.

Let us consider the 1st round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The Packers (TT) sat in the draft room waiting to pick Damarious Randall ? They waited to pick a player that 29 other teams passed on. They waited to spring this 1st round draft pick on Packer fans as they passed on higher quality in the players.
They chose this player in the 1st round that most likely would have been there in the 2nd or 3rd rounds, sacrificing a better quality 1st round pick.

How many of us had a stupid look on our face with jaws dropping as this pick was announced. Only quickly to say that Ted Thompson must know what he is doing. That is like saying that a person must be guilty, he was arrested. Too many of us just fall into formation and march, not ever questioning what is really going on.
Ted Thompson may yet redeem the Packers by trading up in the second round to get a player/players that they passed on earlier. They will need to act quickly though, before the best remaining LB's / CB's are taken.

Finally, I hope to hear after this draft, an explanation for this strange behavior from Ted Thompson himself if he does not run and hide in his office. Packer fans deserve an explanation.

So because we lost house and williams we get to draft a shorter safety corner?

and he was the best at 30 in the whole draft?

hope he's good ...

Disappointed!
Small for an NFL safety and a project at corner.
This is the best you can do in the 1st round?🤬

Like a number of others here, I don't know much about this guy. From the reports I've now gone and read, he appears to be one of those guys that the media had moving up their draft board late in the process to somewhere in the first or second. I expect they will look at him in the slot along with Hyde as the nickel/dime back. Curious to see how he looks in OTAs and training camp.

Im underwhelmed until I see him in games! Expecting day 2 to be full of trades up and down with the amount of talent.

I kept hearing folks saying we have to draft a cornerback and that is precisely what the Packers did and now those same folks are hating this selection without even seeing him in a pre-season game? It's common protocol to give a draft three years and some of us haven't even given this kid three hours!!

Mr. Randall, make the haters eat their words!!!

It's real comforting to read the scout at JSO's take who said this guy was a FIFTH ROUND project.
Ted Thompson strikes again... trying to be the smartest guy in the room. 9th out of 11 1st round picks used on defense. How long does this STELLAR drafter get to build a defense when it's been proven he can't?

I'm sure Randall will be great, though, because Ted Thompson took him and he's now a Packer and we need to rally around him.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I'm certainly intrigued by him and willing to give him time, it's just with the uncertainty of what Ted will draft yet and who was still on the board, it leaves some apprehension As of Friday morning.

I read somewhere that Ted was trying to trade back last night but was getting screwed by other teams so just sat....maybe he's got a day 2 slide worked out? I get your sentiments...many share them to some degree, let's see what's next though.
