Not worth a pick. His arm is meh. His athleticism isn't really top end. He's shown nothing so far. I didn't like him last year and I don't like him this year. I hope I'm wrong and he works out for Cleveland because that town is starved for nfl success. But I don't think he'll amount to much.

That aside, we trade for him and his contract is up in 3 years? Rodgers is 31. Barring a career ending injury, he's signed through 5 more seasons and I could see him playing a few years beyond that. We've got guys like Brady and Manning that are 6-8 years older and still playing at a high level. Are you really going to trade for a guy that's shown nothing and may well never see the field before his contract is up?

Those resources are better served elsewhere.

Yes, he's off to a poor start but that is not unlike many before him. He's night and day per Joe Thomas last year to this.

Would LOVE to see us pull that trigger on him. Last thing I want is Ted Thompson using anymore of his draft picks trying to be the smartest guy in the room, again.

Manziel is not a Packer Person. Although moving to GB would take him away from the distractions of a bigger city!

Personally I dont see his production reaching anywhere near his projected potential. Avoid like the plague!

We all know Peyton put a ton of work in to put up the above numbers and started all 16 games. Manziel didn't start hardly at all and wasn't focused like Manning. Now, Manziel is focused. The guy was a 1st round pick last year and one of the most exciting college QB's to ever play. He even flashed in the NFL during his 1st action vs. Buffalo where our HOF QB sucked.

Manning showed tastes of what he could become at various points throughout the year. And you make it sound like Manning showing dedication to his job should be a knock on him. I personally prefer to see that in a QB.

So far, Manziel's resume is one drive against a defense playing soft with a late three score lead, bombing his chance as the starter, being a sideshow distraction, and ending up in rehab. As I said, I didn't like him as a prospect coming in last year. I haven't seen anything that would change my opinion.

I don't think he can read a defense. I don't think his arm strength is anything to write home about. I think his pocket presence is lacking. And it's all well and good that Joe Thomas said he's working harder but I'll wait to see it carry over into an NFL season before taking the first positive sign that he maybe is turning it around and assume all his maturity issues have just vanished.

Trade a pick for Johnny Football? Not even a 7th. Not ever.
