With the draft less than a month away, we will be speculating about the direction the Green Bay Packers will go right up until the franchise is on the clock late on the night of April 30. With the team's makeup changing over the course of the past month, we continue to wonder just where

Canned response is, the best player available. That said, I think the Packers trade down some spots into the 2nd round and take an ILB.

Unless there is s HHCD that falls to #30, I don't see Ted reaching for any of those positions.

I still think if Ted can't trade out of the #30 spot, he will draft the highest player on his board that isn't a reach.

With D. Harris gone , that very well mean a rb.

With Eddie's asma problems and Starks heading toward 30, would not be a bad move to bring in another top RB.

Many teams will draft before the Packers do . Many will take linemen, or Running Backs, or Wide Receivers. The Packers should take the best CB or ILB for their first Draft Pick.

IMO, the Packers need to spend their first 6 picks by getting 3 CB's and 3 ILB's. The remaining picks would then be BPA .

You don't draft a player in the 2nd rnd That will be available in the 4th.

From what is being reported, this is not a top heavy draft.

But there is value in the middle rounds.

Don't discount the players already on the roster.

There are currently 11 LBR's listed on the roster.

I'm betting when it comes time to play real games, the starters are already in Green Bay.
That's at all the positions.
This is a good year to create depth at tbe 3 position you listed.

But I don't see Ted reaching for any of those positions.

Yeah I am sure a lot of us are getting the sense that there will be a lot of trades. This should be a very entertaining draft. Go Badgers!

There's no doubt what I'm gonna say about this: Ordinarily, I would NOT draft an RB in the first round. However, Melvin Gordon is the exception to that rule. I doubt we get a chance at him, but I would dearly love to see him play for the Packers - and become a superstar, as I'm confident he will.

I really hope (and think) the Packers will NOT trade down. At this point in time, we do not need quantity. We need a few excellent players.

Honestly, I think we could go into the season with no draft at all, even with the free agency losses, and be an excellent team, maybe the BEST NFL team. Just the same, we really could use a top flight CORNER as the highest priority. The move of Clay Matthews to ILB and the emergence (I think/hope) of Jayrone Elliot at OLB make ILB the second, not first priority. And I really don't see D-Line as a position of need at all.

Ted has a solid pattern of filling a glaring position of need with his top pick.

Just off the top of my head, Aaron Rodgers, AJ Hawk, BJ Raji, Bulaga, Sherrod, Dix, Datone Jones, Nick Perry, who am I missing?
