Kudos to Mike for shaking up the coaching staff.
Nice job bringing in quality help for Campen and the offensive line.
I like the hire of this kid from Oklahoma.

I am excited that McCarthy is giving up his play calling duties. Not because I think he is a poor play caller, but because this will give Tom Clements great motivation to do well and also let coach McCarthy be coach.

Especially when you run a fast paced offense like this, MM probably half the time had no clue what was going on with the team outside of playcalling. That's what he's trying to change not the offense.

Give Edgar that chance. Dude is new blood. Him and Van Pelt are the up-and-comers. They should be the ones getting the opportunities, not the guy who's old and has no other opportunities.

He’ll be overseeing everything about his football team. He’ll be wearing a headset and he’ll hear the calls going into the game. If he doesn’t like a play, he’ll change it. He’ll communicate with Tom Clements: “Tom, let’s kill some clock here,” or “Tom, let’s up the tempo in this next possession.” I remember Ron Erhardt telling me about his days as Bill Parcells’ offensive coordinator. He said he’d be looking deep down his play-call sheet, Parcells would see him and would walk behind him and say, “Run it, run it.” So who’s calling the play, huh? This play-calling thing is being way over-analyzed. These are still Coach McCarthy’s plays being called and executed by Coach McCarthy’s men, and they are subject to Coach McCarthy’s approval.

I may need more perspective here. I ultimately agree with what PFWT said above, I just have been a fan of MM leading this offense which is why I've been hesitant about the change.
