I'm not sure if this is a good source or a bad one (or somewhere in between) but it's an interesting tweets to bring up thoughts.
I'm thinking the source might wrong... just hard for me to see MM giving up play calling duties. Unless maybe he's blaming himself for the loss. Also is Associate HC w/ play-calling duties really a promotion from OC?

Also, it’s a little surprising given the recent outside interest in Alex Van Pelt that it was Edgar Bennett, not him, that got OC promotion.

Understandable... I didn't know quite what to label it. Because I was questioning the source as if MM would really do that... and if "Associate HC w/ play-calling duties" really a promotion from OC? As a lot of OC are already associate HC w/ play-calling duties (at least in my mind).
