I do believe there are certainly nefarious influences in pro sports. Boxing is the worst, followed by NBA. But it does exist in football as well. There are a number of books on the subject.

Fortunately our team has a large, profitable fan base, so it does play to our advantage to some degree. I also do think it is possible to beat the other team AND the officials. I don't think the Steelers were supposed to make it to the SB the year they played the Seahawks, but once they got there they were "favored" by the officials. IMO

The call was the right call, but it was in our favor. LOL.

I think after that last fiasco against Detroit, there was no way they could hand another game to Dallas. Too many people were calling bullshit.

But Dallas does have a major, profitable fan base.

I agree the way the flags seemed to go against us most of the game. Turning a blind eye to the Calvin Johnson rule would have added to the negativity the league suffered last week.

The league no doubt would love Dallas in the Superbowl, but Green Bay doesn't hurt them that much when it comes to fan appeal and ratings.

I could see where he might be interesting to listen to for a laugh for a few minutes now and then but I had a real hard time listening for the entire video (and I did)

The first ad where he started schlocking his own supplements did it for me and the one caller who said something to the effect that he took his gambling winnings and bought an AK47 made me think this might be reality TV. I Its hard to believe stuff like that isn't scripted. Then you look at society today and figure its not so hard to believe.


Note to the gun lobby before you jump all over me, I don't think buying an AK47 necessarily makes you a nut job Personally I don't see it but hey, whatever floats your boat. Its just that this caller has TOTALLY bought this Jones idiot's line. "I was like "I saw the light man, no more football for me I'm gonna buy lots of guns and wait for the revolution. Just tell me what to do next Mr. Jones"

Exactly what I think. Garrett lost this game in the 2nd quarter. Plain simple.
Not only because of the potential 10 point swing but because of the vibe in the locker room at halftime.
