I was hearing crying about how the NFL is in love with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers and they'll do anything to get the Pack to win. Does the NFL pick what years they'll support Green Bay because they didn't get any calls to help them the last 3 post seasons ?

Pretty funny, imo.

I think Wall Street would (secretly) disagree with you as they've made a very comfortable living off doing it For decades or maybe even centuries now...

Of course if you were going to do that you wouldn't make it so noticeable and if they're changing a call to agree with the rule book is not illegal, in fact it is "fixing" the call to make it correct.

I don't doubt that individual games may be fixed on some level but these guys are suggesting that the NFL is able to control who gets into the playoffs and who wins simply by writing a script.

If the game was fixed who did they want to win? We have to assume they wanted the Packers to win because the call went in their favor, but maybe they wanted Dallas to win and this was the original refs way to get the fix in by calling it complete but he replay officials screwed it up. In that case I suppose we'll hear of one of them having a horrible accident soon.

Regardless of who they wanted to wi who got the money?

The first Official who called it a catch thinking it might be THE play Dallas needs to pull out a win.

The replay official who had final say?

The New York guys who apparently agreed with the replay official?

Maybe Dez who knew if he dropped the ball it would be called incomplete.

Maybe Shields who didn't jump as high as he could have jumped and knocked the ball away.

Maybe Garret to make the call in the first place or whoever it was who made it.

All I know is I didn't see a dime and dammit, if this sort of thing is going to continue that has got to change.

We might have the conspiratorial edge in this Conference championship game though.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
