Last week Aaron Rodgers injured his calf. Nothing new or interesting there.
A: Mike McCarthy says when it comes to being hurt/injured, you have to have three conversations with Rodgers before you get the real truth about the severity of the injyry.
B: Aaron Rodgers is very observant. We all saw him doing calf stretches in the tunnel. Rodgers stayed in the tunnel because he didn't want the crowd to erupt while the Packers were on offense. So he waited until the punt unit came on.
C: When Rodgers got to the bench, well, I'm just going to quote Matt Flynn.
I'm sitting on the bench, and he comes over, taps me on the shoulder and says, 'I've got it,' And there he goes.
Matt Flynn wrote:
I think kids calls this being "like a boss" here.
D: Something that is probably lesser known is Rodgers does not tape his ankles and I wonder what role, if any, that played into his calf injury. Rodgers says he likes having flexible ankles and feels those ACL injuries happen more for those who tape up because all the "give" is forced to the knee.
I could be alone here, but those four points I find fascinating about Rodgers and it says a lot about him and his character.
