A while back I'd have been all for this move, but not after I read some reports at the end of the season that heavily implied Gonzalez was a prima donna.
After seeing Finley do some very good things in the final couple of games this season, I'm even more reluctant to get Gonzalez. Sure it'd be nice to have a player on the roster that Finley could emulate, but at the end of the day that shouldn't make or break Finley the player. The coaches have a job of coaching, and I think they can do it just fine without adding someone like Gonzalez.
So at this point I'd like to see the Packers keep both Finley and Lee, let Finley grow and see if he can challenge Lee more next season. Basically give Finley more opportunities to show what he can do, which isn't dependent on getting Gonzalez.
I'd much rather like to see the Packers keep both their thirds, draft some players that'll have a chance to contribute for longer periods in the future than Gonzalez would.
