I don't know who is putting him on a pedestal. I assume most would agree that 1) Aaron sucked on Sunday and 2) he is hypersensitive about his image (although I contend it's justifiable). I also acknowledge that outside factors can influence performance. Cobb admitted his early season swoon was due to pressure in a contract year. That said, sexless Sundays are a bit different from playing for millions in a looming contract.
This reminds me of one of those ghost hunter shows where they pick up something on their sound meters. The confirmation bias of the hunters causes them to go wild as they conclude they found Casper. Meanwhile, the viewers at home are thinking it was a mouse, a gust of wind through an open window, the boom mic guy shifting his foot, or any one of 1,000 far more likely scenarios.
On that note and to add to what Texas said, I can't believe I got caught up arguing in circles about this for 2+ pages. Sure, fine, there's a 1 in 1,000 chance that Olivia's comments are the reason for Aaron's Sunday clunker...however, I choose to assume it's one of 999 other appreciably more plausible explanations.
