Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the link you did provide because it eventually lead me to a Rant article on the 30 hottest female celebrity bodies of all time but I really wanted to read about this Islamic indoctrination thing because something tells me there is a lot more going on than what little you provided.
If I were to take a world history class and as part of the assignment we had to write the religious tenets of Islam which included those things then yeah, you have to write them. Did she have to swear an oath that she believed them or not but just writing them? big freaking deal, especially if they ARE the religious tenets of Islam.
If I were Muslim and my kid had an assignment to WRITE the 10 commandments I wouldn't give a shit and if she didn't write them I'd say "take the class over and write them for crying out loud ( I almost said for Christ's sake but I wouldn't want to be accused of shoving Christianity down anyone's throat) its just part of the assignment."
Rather than shoving Islam down our throats this sounds more like some prejudicial uptight asshole getting his undies in a bunch because his kid is being asked to learn about something that happens somewhere besides the rock they live under.
Of course there may be a lot more to it but we wouldn't know because someone forgot to include the correct link.
