Why is it some have to always boil every discussion down to "right wing" or "left wing?"
I think THAT alone is one of the major problems.
Questions that are asked are always labeled it seems.
If you just kiss off every question as a political one, you are missing the boat in my view.

I know I'm considered a "right wing nut case" by some, and that usually means that ANYTHING I say will be poo poo'd by some and ignored automatically.

I try to take what anyone says and think it out before saying "That comes from a lefty, and therefore has no merit."
That's just not the right way to go.

Of course that's just coming from this right wing nut case.![grin1]

Today's world is far from the one from the 1960's and earlier. With the high prices of EVERYTHING, there are few families that can make it on one income.
People do what they have to to survive. I myself would hate to send my kids to some day care, where you have NO idea how they are treated or what they are being taught.
The formative years are very important to a child's growth.

The primary point of this discussion is that parents should be spending those first five years raising their children, not child care centers. The tax break thing was my concession that I am willing to make for those MARRIED couples who need a small break to get by. Notice the MARRIED couples and realize that implication.

The neighborhood you are talking about is what I am looking to move into next year at the earliest. Something I can set up shop for a decade or so until all my girls are moved out. Then I'm going to build myself a small shack with a full bathroom and garage on a tiny piece of land that has high speed internet and fall off the gird.

The kids are treated just fine in day care. Impressively so, imo. Hell, I wish I got to go to daycare! ...At least the version from the YMCA presented to us. VERY impressive!

My wife opted for that place for some of the same reasons you expressed earlier... my granddaughter is intertwined with her public school contemporaries- friends- "just fine". It was the best path for her to take to public school kindergarten. You really think I'd send my granddaughter anywhere I was uncomfortable with in any way?

Dakota has a high paying job. He just told us he's making 3500 this week. Maybe he should take his 3500 and go to the park and hand it out to the stay at home moms.

If I ever see that box you speak of, I'll be in front of you putting the x on it. Just be aware- These crazy bastards all over this world would scare the crap out of you, if you knew them. You don't have to know them.

You can call the ghostbusters if shit hits the fan. The reason you got higher gas prices than what you'd like is because of refining and transportation, fool. Your state refines oil into shit you can't use. They are building 2 new refineries, which is excellent, if you look at the history of refineries in this country, but you can't use them, either.

You should know that, turbine builder. What? do they let let you put in the big bolts to hold the gears? What tragedy is your education?

Impress your wife back in N Dakota. Come here with facts to impress me. Oh, and let me know what college you drank/ skated through if any so I can NOT send my grandchildren there. You want to be an asshole? I can work with that.

Think about that instead of worrying about your next perceived "witty" comeback. You're commenting often, but your'e not saying a damn thing. Old maybe, wise, not showing it here.

As for the pecker in pocket, no kidding Sherlock. If you knew how well I take care of my girls and help their mothers, you'd be surprised. As for paranoid, not at all, nothing to be paranoid about. Don't even know how that mixes with this.

If we raise better kids, we raise a better society. The saying goes, children are our future, yet we have child care institutions raising them during the most important five years of their lives?
