Mike McCarthy is a top echelon N.F.L. Head Coach.

There is no legit argument against that statement. His record, compared to his peers during his tenure is proof in the pudding.

However.. I feel. coach Mike has reached his personal zenith with this team. It happens with every coach, it happens with the best of the best.

I think M.M. has become complacent. Make me Ted, and I will call him into a "Come to Jesus Meeting" and tell Mike he has a deadline... I feel Ted is still in his prime. Hanging onto M.M. may be Ted's only weakness.

There are a great deal of great coaches who would love to capitalize on leading this organization, and a truly great QB who is still in his prime next year in the greatest football market, in the world.

2) Contrary to the insinuation in your question, this isn't that easy to answer. We'd have to go back to the 1920s and compute some averages. I don't have the time, so google found me This article which lists franchises and the number of coaches they had since 2000. Franchises with 2 or less include the Pats, Eagles, Giants, Packers, Ravens, Steelers, and Titans. Since 2000, the franchises with 7 or more coaches include the Bills, Browns, Dolphins, Lions, Redskins, and Raiders. By my math, a franchise averaged 4.1 coaches since 2000.

3) I believe 93 years of Packer football and 16 coaches = 5.8 years. Scooter McLean was the coach twice, so if you count him as 1 coach the average is 6.2 years.

Now I have a simple question. What the hell does any of this have to do with whether or not Mike McCarthy is complacent?
