That said, what kind of message does it send to your players when all your coaches and staff are saying HEY MAN IT WASN'T ME.
If I'm Rob Davis, and given his job, ESPECIALLY him, I'd be like WELL YOU KNOW I MADE A MISTAKE, I APOLOGIZE TO THE GUYS, I DON'T WANNA HURT THE TEAM. Whatever.
OR, he could say, I'LL TAKE THAT PENALTY, BECAUSE WE NEEDED TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE MISSED CALL THERE. Right? One could even argue that that missed call helped us later on the supposedly controversial "timeout" play.
But Rob Davis doesn't say that. In fact, no one is.
LESSON TO THE PLAYERS: There is no accountability. But they probably already knew that.
