It's not often that a player who was drafted 2nd round in the prior years draft is made available, let alone a player at a position of your weakness.

This is a good scenario for the Packers. This kid has had a year in the NFL and a year in a professional 3 - 4 defense. I wouldn't be surprised one bit by a trade for a pick. It's no different than using the pick to draft him.

My hope is they don't unload James Starks for this guy. I see Starks being the one who pushes the running game over the top this season.

Highly doubt that happens. Ted trading draft picks away is about as likely as Cutler winning an MVP award.

It sounds like something that should be considered, but history would say it is unlikely.

I doubt the Ravens are pushing hard to unload the guy. If he is available for a bargain price, Ted might be interested, but I agree, he ain't gonna pay fair market price in draft picks. Assuming there's no off-field or injury issues with the guy, I kinda wish he would in this case.

And hell no, we don't need to trade for a NT.

I'd be shocked if someone throws in more than a 7th for this kid. To be worth a 2nd or 3rd you have to be a proven player in the NFL and 15 combined tackles in all of last season is nothing which I consider proven. Jerel Worthy was also a 2nd rounder traded early in his career, didn't prove anything before and therefore didn't result in any Draft choice for the Packers.

I do not say this guy cannot be a good starter in the future, however, I'm sure he's not the immediate solution at ILB.
