...Percy Harvin's first Jet sweep and my nephews first game.
Last Sunday my nephew played in his first football game (he is going into the 8th grade) and I am quite proud to say he scored three TDs. 2 on receptions and one on a similar play that the Seahawks ran with Percy Harvin. On Harvin's run I said "looks like Kade did on that one"
"Thanks a lot" he said in that tone you get when someone takes a jab at you.
"why" I said "you don't think you looked like Percy Harvin on that play"
"Oh" he said "I thought you meant the Packer guy who got stiff armed to the ground and run over."
You see, on another play in his game he was playing safety and as he went up to try to tackle a guy on an end run he was stiff armed to the ground and run over and it did look exactly like the Harvin play from that aspect as well. Maybe its a positive sign that he was looking at his poor tackling rather than focusing on his offensive plays.
Anyway, if the Packers don't play better than they did last night it looks like I'll see better football at his games on Sundays and it won't be so bad missing the Packers.
