Versatile Josh Boyd, rookie strongman Mike Pennel and ex-Viking Letroy Guion give the Packers a three-pronged plan at nose tackle.

There are some interesting quotes in the above piece from Sitton among others.
I enjoyed this little nugget:
"They've got Raji replaced," one personnel man said. "Boyd and Pennel play on the other side of the line of scrimmage. As the year goes along, I think it'll be Pennel. He's too big and too strong. Then they can put Boyd outside."A personnel man is advocating for Pennel? He went on to say this:
"If you told me he was a third (round draft choice) and the other guy (Thornton) signed as a free agent, I'd say that was a pretty good pick in the third round," said one personnel man. "Thornton just stands there occupying a piece of ground. Pennel is big, plays tough and can play at the point of attack."Whomever that was, he sure makes it sound so easy to replace Raji. Can the Pennel Kennel come through?
From the piece it doesn't sound as though Sitton thinks Boyd is a NT. He was diplomatic about it, but if he really thought Boyd was a nose, I think he would've said he thought Boyd could handle it. He isn't sure. Are any of us?
Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
