Would be a pretty boring post game press conference if the coaches didn't answer questions. I don't see what the big deal is. The injury is what it is, it doesn't matter if the coach says he will be fine or if he says his arm fell off, none of it has any bearing on the injury. If you (people in general not you specifically) don't like the letdown of finding out it is more serious than was first let on it's kinda your fault for believing what the coach says in the first place.

I'm glad coaches don't divulge much information for the sole reason of watching whine bags freak out over "OMG they lying to us!" over and over again as if they are owed some kind of response on another persons medical well-being.

Never said it was true... just that Demovsky reported it. I will assume, for the sake of argument, Demo is right. Where does that leave us? With Mike Pennel and Guion who is a stiff.

My guess is we'll turn to the waiver wire when teams make their 1st cuts... better crop on 2nd cuts, but we have to get someone in ASAP...or maybe Ted Thompson is not worried because "he likes the guys he's got".

Maybe, he'll pull the rare act and deal someone like Nick Perry for a NT?

That doesn't mean they can't sign someone after the first cuts and then drop him and sign someone after the second wave but all that does is cut down on the amount of work your current guys get to show what they can do.

That's one reason I never really watch preseason football. Late in the game you have guys on the field who have almost no chance of making the team even if they do make a good play or two. Why not let the guys who probably will make the team get some game reps. Last night Gillet comes to mind. He makes a nice TD catch but it won't win him a roster spot. I understand that when you don't want Nelson and Cobb or even maybe Boykin on the field for injury reasons you may need a throw away guy to line up and take some reps but it doesn't get me excited.

I just don't think many people play themselves onto a roster in a preseason game if they were not close to making it based on camp performance anyway. If they do then Jayrone Elliot will be on the final roster.

Over the last several years injury severity has been greatly underreported initially. It happens all the time in Packerland.

They aren't lying to us... they're just clueless and should remain silent until they actually know something instead of sending out quotes that minimize the situation every single time.

I surely didn't but I'm always skeptical because of the track record. When someone asked about Raji last night I was going to retort "amputation" because it always seems to go to the worst case scenario in a football sense.

It goes back to the infamous "knee sprain" Mike Neal had in 2011.

Where is all this Boyd fandom coming from?

He looks like "just another fatass" nothing special.

Great, another season-ending injury suffered before they even play the real games. [wallme]

They should consider Pickett for short-yardage situations, but the young players are going to need to step up. I worry about how they'll defend Seattle (and potentially San Francisco in the playoffs), but I think they'll do okay for most of the season.

They play mostly sub packages anyways.

I was really hoping Raji had a ridiculously good year so some team would give him a fat contract next offseason and get us a free 3rd round pick.

Yeah 😞 I was hoping it would help the run d too. Look for a lot of inside runs from Lynch.
