The bottom line from a football perspective is picking up bargains, and Ted Thompson seems to be pretty good at that. One aspect of a player dropping to where he becomes a bargain for sure is racial stereotyping, but there are others too - health (Adrian Hubbard, brushes with the law - can't think of one, and probably other things too. Arguably, though, getting Jeff Janis/Jeff Query/Billy Schroeder/Jason Abbrederis types is the best percentage of bargain hunting success.

hahahahaha uffda only WISHES he was me.

As for skin color and the position of which one is drafted, ... that's as relevant as drafting someone because their name is familiar. Some folks seem to forget that your job is predicated on the talent you recommend or you draft (scout or general manager) and when you get that pink slip, do you think it's going to say "should have drafted more black young men"? Think about this thoroughly folks, really THINK about it.

Didn't have time to post it yesterday but there are two WR that are white and played at small schools that were taken higher in the draft.

Don Beebe played for Chadron State and was taken by Buffalo in the 3rd round of the 1989 draft.
Jeff Query played for Millikin and was taken in the 5th round by Green Bay also 1989.

Perhaps they were drafted higher than the 7th round not because of their skin color but because they both have the middle name of Lee. Maybe it was because they were both born in Illinois. That's it! White boys who are born in Illinois with the middle name of Lee will be drafted higher than other White WRs. It's a fact!

Sorry I don't know all things White when it comes to football. I really don't care. When it comes to color, I see players as Green, Purple, Blue and on occasion much to my chagrin, Teal along with some other assorted colors.

In that case, you've clearly never watched hockey.

Or swimming.

Or water polo.

Or lacrosse.

Or rugby.

Or the winter olympics.

Or volleyball.

Or tennis.

Or cycling.

Or cricket.

Or f*ck, even soccer.

...but yeah, if you severely limit your view of "world sport" to the NBA, NFL skill positions and the 100m dash, you totally have a point.

Why is it so hard to type why there are more black WR's and RB's opposed to white ones? Why? It's like the majority of you want to see the world as it you wish to see it not how it is. Ask an african american the above question...I PROMISE you won't get...VIDEO GAMES as the reason why there are so few white RB's and WR's... it certainly hasn't stopped OL and QB's from reaching the NFL. It's just the kids with all that athletic ability who are wasting it on VIDEO GAMES. I can't get enough. 😆

Here is his problem said pretty straight forward.

Weaknesses:
Has a slender build and needs to bulk up and get stronger.
Ordinary pop off the line.
Builds to average speed.
Could struggle to separate vs. quick-twitch covermen.
Lets throws into his body and breaks stride to catch.
Not a jumpball player (30 1/2-inch vertical jump).
Straightlinish after the catch -- pedestrian agility and elusiveness.
Has a history of concussions.
Bench-pressed 225 pounds just four times, lowest of all combine participants.

Draft Projection Rounds 4-5

That is 9 major issues. You can't go in the 2nd or even the 3rd round with more than 2-4 no matter what kind of skin you wear.

Rural communities are struggling to even field football teams. They are resorting to cooping with neighboring towns that were once their most bitter rival just so they can put a football team on the field. But go ahead and laugh. That doesn't change a thing.
