Packers' 2012 pick Nick Perry yet to prove himself

At No. 28 overall in the 2012 NFL draft, Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson drafted USC’s Nick Perry. He didn’t select Perry to be good. He drafted him to be great.

The only read I get on Perry is that he gets injured a lot. I believe he should be in 4-3 defense, because he is a pass rushing DE not a 3-4 outside linebacker. We should also let him play the side did in college. I really get tired of watching our coaching staff try to fit square pegs in round holes. We should just trade the guy to a team playing a 4-3 and maybe he can salvage his career.

I think Perry is versatile. I feel like he can play multiple positions including OLB. The guy has just got to get back as close to 100% as possible. That's the big issue here.

He has the size and raw speed to redefine the position. Will he grab hold of the opportunity? Yet to be seen.
