To early to cut bait talent wise. I'll be honest, I kinda wanted him in the first round that year. He killed it when he was on at Michigan St. I was hyped to get him in the second

either his injury / attitude is worse than what is known,

or...

I dunno... its weird we give more time to the likes of Justin Harrell/ Derek Sherrod/ Nick Perry, while we just cut bait on Worthy.

Sherrod has been healthy for less snaps than Worthy has games played.

Just when you think you have Ted figured out. 😄

Looks like Mike Pennel and/or Carlos Gray have impressed the coaches enough to open up a spot on the D-line.

Not sure what is wrong with Guion, bit if he doesn't get on the field soon, he isn't going to make the team.

that 2012 draft is really looking like one of Teddy's failures.

1. Perry:
-15/32 games unavailable to injury.
-out of scheme when drafted
-coaches play him out of his best position

2. Worthy: TOAST! (pending)
-16/32 games unavailable to injury.
-Torn ACL
-Messed up back *Justin Harrell*

3. Hayward:
-15/32 games unavailable due to injury
-Infamous "lingering hammy"

4.Daniels
-got some sacks last year.

5. Jerron McMillan: GONE!

6.Terrel MAnning: KICKED!

7.Andrew Datko: DONE!

8. B.J. Coleman: POOF!

so we got 1 rotational guy... and 2 oft-injured reserve defenders.

Just goes to show what a crap shoot the draft can be and that the draft isn't over when "Mr. Irrelevant" is chosen.

Edit: I do agree, that 2012 will not go down as one of Teds best.

Perry I still have hopes for, although they are dimming by the day. Daniels looks like he has upside. And Heyward is great when healthy, which he is now. Other than that bad, but GM's have done worse.

They were probably going to cut him. One thing about when we've kept other guys around longer is we didn't have as good of DL depth that we do now. They probably just see guys like Boyd and Thornton as at least similar talent wise as Worthy but they aren't coming off ACL and back surgery. No need to keep a guy around when you've got similar talent that's healthy.
