I agree 100% but I'm not sure Mike McCarthy does. As far back as I can remember it seems the Packers have always been a 1 back team when that #1 back is healthy. They say different but they run the guy into the dirt anyway.

But if the RBs stay healthy (who knows if that's gonna to happen or not) I think MM finally figured out how to use RBs to fit his vision better... last year instead of switching them in and out, when they were healthy, MM would let Lacy be the #1 guy, but then would also give Starks full drives (and take Lacy out for the whole drive)... so they didn't have to switch RB during the whole time (unless they wanted Kuhn in as the 3rd down guy)... and it seemed like the Packers were trying to get special packages going with Franklin and the offense would be a bit different with him in the game, because defenses are going to play him differently than they would say Lacy. Which some of those packages might go to Harris now... and it'll be interesting to see how defenses play him and how he does.

I still wonder if a 4th RB can step up and get to the 53 man roster... which might be nice to have, with Lacy's physical running style and Starks injury history... as a just in guess guy. From looking at highlight RB Rajion Neal has some good talent, he might not be ready as a rookie, but I think he could have decent NFL career.

I don't think Lacy will be a 1 year wonder.
I agree with Wades John Brockington comparison. The Packers ran him into the ground for three years and discarded him.

I watched his interview with Larry McCarren last year and I came away with the impression he didn't plan on sticking around very long.

Barry Sanders averaged 20 carries throughout his entire 10 year career.

btw, if Wade had compared Eddie Lacy to Barry Sanders, this would have been taken an entire different direction lol

Adrian Peterson had 1406 NFL carries and tore his knee to shreds the season before he rushed for over 2000 yards.

Brockington had 1347 carries for his entire career. Peterson had Brockington's career total and 59 more carries BEFORE he fell a few yards short of the NFL single season rushing record.

If Brockington was "toast" it was because he didn't properly take care of his body. John Riggins had nearly 3000 carries in his NFL career.

At any rate my feeling is Lacy's career is likely to mirror Brockingtons where he wears out physically or loses his passion to play.

As to Lacy, the closest current comparison back would be Marshawn Lynch...that dude has back problems. He's carried it 1753 times and still is extremely effective. I don't know that Marshawn is a guy who loves football, either.

To me, Lacy seems to enjoy the NFL some. If his attitude stays good there's no reason he can't carry as much and for as long as Marshawn Lynch. I would say 4-5 more good seasons out of Eddie would be a reasonable expectation. It'll be interesting to see what kind of deal we offer him if he's still playing at a high level when his contract is up in a few seasons.

Zero2Cool (5h) : beast, you're just one R from being voluptuous.
Zero2Cool (5h) : And now some Packers blogger is like Doubs to Steelers makes sense!!!!
Zero2Cool (5h) : You saw me Tweet???
beast (5h) : Supposedly Steelers will be trading WR George Pickens to the Cowboys for a 3rd and late round pick swap

Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.

Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Simmons put up an emoji with cheese.
beast (27-Apr) : Not sure anyone is interested in Isaiah Simmons... Collin Oliver might of taken his potential slot
beast (27-Apr) : I'm going with Jax Ulbrich is not telling the whole truth... he accidentally came across it? Why would a defensive coordinator have a QB #?
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : He's not that great, but final piece of the script.\
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : If we add Isaiah Simmons, book your Super Bowl tickets
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Colts 1st round TE Tyler Warren also got prank called, was that Jax Ulbrich as well?
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Jax Ulbrich, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, released an apology for his role in the Shedeur Sanders prank call.
Martha Careful (27-Apr) : apparently he did not participate in practice or play on the east west shrine game nor the NFL combine. The kid was a mediocre spoiled brat
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Yeah that one that was a super wounded duck that Sanders supporters are highlighting to prove a point
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Shough is the guy who missed guys at combine isn't he?
