Thanks for the congrats, Rocky and mi_keys. Another game that stole some years of my life. What a heartbreaker. Argentina was a very strong competitor, like the Netherlands would have been. So the game was just decided by one magic moment of Mario Götze, it could have gone the other way round as well. Nice side story, Andre Schürrle (who gave the assist) and Mario Götze were the first two players born in the re-united Germany to participate in an international match together (back in 2010).
But it was not only Götze, Boateng played a fantastic game, so did Schweinsteiger. Usually Schweinsteiger is not a leader in games where the gameplan does not work, yesterday he was a true leader.
Also, I have to give Jogi Löw credit for yesterday's game. After Kramer got killed I expected him to substitute Mertesacker for him and put Lahm back in the defensive midfield. But putting in Schürrle was a very nice move.
The party on Munich's Leopoldstrasse lasted until 7am in the morning, great time. Thank god I had a good feeling that this night will be magic and took the day off today 😃
Now we'll see if the future is as bright as last night. The team is still young, only Klose will be out in 2018. And also, the best german player in Marco Reus didn't even participate in Brazil.
Thanks to Brazil, who organized a great world cup and really made my days down there fantastic, enjoyable and rememberable. Feels great to be part of the 2014 WC journey :)
