As we enter the middle part of July, the long nightmare of the typical NFL fan is nearly over. The 2.5 month long drought between the NFL Draft and the opening of training camp is nearly complete. Thankfully there has been the World Cup and baseball to tide things over but now the real [...]

It's the off season, why not. 😆

The Packers can finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th, this writer really going out on a limb here.

Semi-serious, with what little anyone can take form OTA's, this could really be a fun group to watch.

Can't wait for the pads to go on and thec competition for roster spots really begin.

I'll be a little more bold.

Packers finish 13-3 Home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

We can finish in first if Dom starts getting it done on defense.

We can finish in second if Mike shits himself for the first 1/4 of the season or takes until week 10 to start getting it into gear.

If we finish last, it's probably due to excessive injuries. And if the injuries continue, Mike has to go.

We can finish last if we don't count the vikings and Lions. While I don't think they will, I do think the Bears COULD win the division and we COULD finish second.

The only way we don't win this division is if we, as Nerd would say, shit ourselves. Chicago and Detroit have some talent, but we go into every game with an elite quarterback. And that my friends is the difference.

I think you are underestimating the Bears offense. It would not surprise me if they produced better numbers than the Packers this year. Again, like winning the division I don't think they will but they have the talent to pull it off.

I think The Packers and Bears are very close and the thing that give the Packers the edge is, like you said, Aaron Rodgers. I think Cutler will be a top 10 QB this season but I expect Rodgers to be top 3 (#1 really but I don't want to sound arrogant)

As Far as the Bears defense Nerd they added some talent this off season and yeah I know its unproven but its still added talent you have to consider.

You are going to see a quite a few objective people picking the Bears this year when it comes to division winners.

If the Vikings get a decent QB going, I really think the NFC North could be a defensive players nightmare... I think all four teams could have very high power offenses.

Packers were 5-2 before Rodgers got injured.

Lions were 6-3 before they totally collapsed and Calvin Johnson was battling injuries and Stafford was way off at times which better coaching might improve (and they got new coaching) and their RBs were their 2nd best WRs and they added some better WRs...

Bears were 4-2 before Cutler got injured and lost a couple of close games with out him and it's said Cutler looks even better now in his 2nd year under better offensive coaching.

All 3 might of been able to get to 10 wins if they injuries/total collapse didn't happen to them.

Vikings have some very good talent on their offense, but they're missing the most important position... if they get a good QB though they have weapons and a good run blocking OL.

I think we have the best WR duo (Marshall and Jeffrey) and at least 2 other top 10 RBs (Forte and Lacy and total production wise Bush might be up there as well) Its nice to see a Packer fan admit it. Usually its "we rock and all our players would start instantly on their teams and the other teams suck and all their players are over rated and wouldn't make it as second string on our team"

Whichever team has a defense that decides to show up this year could win it.

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
