Remember that Jets game a few years ago that was a huge defensive battle and it ended like 9-0 in favor of the Packers? That's how I see the Carolina game playing out for some reason.

@ Seahawks- There are still some pissed off Packers from the "touchception game" and one of those players is Aaron Rodgers. Win. 1-0.

vs Jets- They have a good defense but their offense is putrid. Their good defense can't stop the Packers great offense. Win. 2-0.

@ Lions- A shootout. Stafford effectively uses all the weapons added in the offseason. Lose. 2-1.

@ Bears- Packers come out dull from previous week's loss. Can't play catch up and barely lose. 2-2.

vs Vikings- Week 5 and Vikings go with a QB change. Enter Bridgewater. He has an awful game and Rodgers destroys Vikings defense. Win convincingly. 3-2.

@ Dolphins- Packers walk into Miami and take an easy win. 4-2.

vs Panthers- Panthers offense doesn't have enough power to keep up with Packers offense. Packers take this game and Rodgers has a career day. 5-2.

@ Saints- Too much offensive weapons for the Packers to handle. Back and forth game ending in a long Saints field goal to win in the final seconds. 5-3.

BYE- 5-3

vs Bears- Packers come back fresh from bye week and edge out a win. 6-3.

vs Eagles- Napoleon Dynamite has a terrible game and the Packers defense capitalizes on the turnover opportunities. Win convincingly. 7-3.

@ Vikings- Vikes still can't put it together. Try to lean on Peterson and doesn't work. Win. 8-3.

vs Patriots- Snow game puts a halt to this potential offensive shootout. Packers defense steps up and wins the game. 9-3.

vs Falcons- Falcons march into Lambeau and takes over with their offense. Julio Jones has an incredible game, catching everything his way. Lose. 9-4.

@ Bills- Packers bounce back from embarrassing loss to the Falcons. Make easy work of the Bills. 10-4.

@ Buccaneers- The McCown experiment hasn't worked out for Lovie's Bucs. Packers prevail. Win. 11-4.

vs Lions- Packers want the bye week. Keep their starters in and take the win. 12-4.

Now for my realistic prediction...Packers go 16-0, make light of every team in the playoffs and win the Lombardi. [aiee]

Each of those "losses" Yerko mentioned (possible exception of the Saints) I'm sitting here thinking "you got to be kidding". 16-0 really is a possibility. However, every team slips up occasionally. I'll go with 14-2, with no clue which 2 end up being losses. I'd bet against it being the Seahawks, though. Ditto for the Pats and also any of the division rivals. And I can't see Atlanta beating us either - Julio Jones is damaged goods, isn't he?

Of course, all of this is contingent on Aaron Rodgers not getting hurt. Just about any other injury or even combination of several, and I think we still go at least 14-2.

I usually go with 8-0 at home and 4-4 on the road, but 15-1 seems realistic this year.

The one loss could be the 1st away game of the seaon or it could be the last away game, I decided on the last.

To quote my co-founder of the dojo - we'll "shit ourselves" 3 games this year. This is going to make me feel real dirty inside and out, but I agree with Texas in that we have enough talent to run the table, 19-0 World Champions. Would love to see that mediocre ugly win Miami perfect team have that champaign cork shoved up their, well you know! But I'll settle for 16-3 World Champions.

I am not sure why anyone thinks Tampa Bay or Atlanta are going to be any good this year. Both will be better than last year but...

TB lost 3/5 of its O-Line and half its running game. They are still unsettled at QB and while the defense is certainly better, I am not afraid of a Tampa-2 defense, modified though it may be.

Atlanta still has no running game, no pass rush and a questionable secondary. Now they've lost one of their tackles from an already weak O-Line. They have a good QB and great receivers but no TE. We pantsed them when they were the best team in the NFC, and they aren't close to that now.

Miami looks a lot better than last year already...I think they are more of a worry.
