OK, Green Bay Packers fans, laugh as heartily as I did, if you like, but there is recent report that some feel Titletown could be a landing spot for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder. However, my opinion is that the idea the Packers would even consider a trade for Ponder is about as straight as one

Why trade for a guy who is going to be released? (I know it ensures you're the team that gets him so you don't have to compete with 30 others)

No way in the world Ted Thompson gives up a draft pick for that guy.

Lots of crazy talk this time of the year. Gil Brandt is suggesting the Cowboys call Brian Urlacher to replace Sean Lee to "save their season". He probably is better than AJ Hawk.

Everybody says no? Why? Ponder had the makin's of a good QB. With McCarthy's schooling, I bet he could be. He's a helluva lot better than Flynn, and probably better than Tolzien too. Of course don't trade for him, as it is pretty sure he will be released, but sign him? Hell Yeah!

Everybody says no? Why? Ponder had the makin's of a good QB. With McCarthy's schooling, I bet he could be. He's a helluva lot better than Flynn, and probably better than Tolzien too. Of course don't trade for him, as it is pretty sure he will be released, but sign him? Hell Yeah!

First off ... why? ... second ... I think we have matt flynn as a backup now ya? ... hopefully he can get back to his old form and be a decent back up to arod. I dont want to see the cluster $%^& that was our back up position again. That was enough last season.
