First off ... why? ... second ... I think we have matt flynn as a backup now ya? ... hopefully he can get back to his old form and be a decent back up to arod. I dont want to see the cluster $%^& that was our back up position again. That was enough last season.

The only thing Green Bay should be "pondering" is how to get the Vikings to keep this guy on their roster.

Everybody says no? Why? Ponder had the makin's of a good QB. With McCarthy's schooling, I bet he could be. He's a helluva lot better than Flynn, and probably better than Tolzien too. Of course don't trade for him, as it is pretty sure he will be released, but sign him? Hell Yeah!

I think prior to the new CBA the QB school had a lot of benefits. The QB school is all but nothing now, so its not exactly easy to have a benefit from it any more.

McCarthy did a good job with Aaron Brooks, Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn. You probably won't see that kind of improvement from a QB due to the new CBA restrictions.
