And I can completely understand why. There might have been some similarly ranked players, but I don't see any that were far and away better players than Ha Ha. Not only do the Packers get potentially the BPA, they also fill a huge need. That's a nice night's work, imo. Will a player drafted after Ha Ha ultimately be a better player? Probably. That's usually how it works. But that doesn't make it a bad pick. There will also be several players that are ultimately worse, imo.
Deone Bucannon would have been a nice pick too, but he was drafted too early. That was a need pick. I'd be more surprised if he turned into a really good player than Ha Ha. Stick with the BPA philosophy, Ted!
