I'm feeling like I have to pull myself over on this one.

Wanted us to take Benjamin with the 21 if he was there, but I did not know he scored a 7 in the Wonderlic. That's bad. Is he that double-bubble bleach blonde with nothing but rocks upstairs? Could be. That's too great a risk for my liking.

Great thread. Though completing it convinces me even more that I'm likely to want a trade down past the first round, and maybe past the second as well.

Round 1:
Calvin Pryor (chance that available)
Marquise Lee (chance that available)
C.J. Mosley (real good chance that available)
Louis Nix (real good chance that available)
Ryan Shazier (best chance that available)

Pryor I'm okay with; Lee I'm okay with; Mosley I think has too big injury question; Nix I don't want; Shazier definitely overrated at #21, but a safe pick in the sense A J Hawk was the safe pick, and the likely choice if Pryor gone as expected.).

Round 2:
Gabe Jackson (chance that available)
Troy Niklas (chance that available)
Joel Botonio/Ju'Wan James (some chance that one available, but I can't decide which most likely)
Jeremiah Attaochu (good chance that available)
Terrence Brooks (good chance that available)

Here, Brooks is the safe pick, and despite the position of need, the worst pick of the five. Attaochu would probably be my pick if available, but I'd likely need to flip a coin if both he and Jackson were.

Round 3a:
Weston Richburg (chance that available)
Antonio Richardson (chance that available)
Jack Mewhort (some chance that available)
Deone Bucannon (chance that available)
Demarcus Lawrence (good chance that available)

Assuming Pryor was gone too early in 1st, Bucannon is my pick here. If Pryor was not gone, then any of the OL (Richburg first, then Mewhort, then Richardson).

Round 3b:
Daniel McCullers (some chance that available)
C. J. Fiedorowicz (good chance that available)
Rashaad Reynolds (good chance that available)
Telvin Smith (good chance that available)

McCullers if available. Easiest pick of the draft. Though more I think of it, the more I expect him long gone. Fiedorowicz the safest pick. If McCullers gone, I'd chance Reynolds or E J Gaines being on the board another round and go with Smith.

I'm sure they have to take the wonderlic in context of interviews they hold with a lot of these players. Then again, I always really worry when a QB scores really poor.

AD scored 16 on the Wonderlic. It wasn't all that many years ago Green Bay had the lowest average Wonderlic score in the league back during the Sherman regime.

I actually agree with Texas for once... Way too many variables to try and group Round 1 much less rounds further down. Cowboys took a 3rd round graded center in Round 1 last year and ironically they had Datone Jones as a 3rd rounder. You just never know how different each team sees these guys for their particular needs.

We could all be thrilled with the picks from this draft and it could be the worst draft class in Packers history, or we could all be pissed at the selections and it could turn out to be the best draft class in Packers history. Nobody ever knows for sure how any of these guys are going to be.

Just hoping we get one of the stud WR's and find a diamond in the rough at TE. Would love Attaochu...have a feeling this guy could be totally dominant. A decent center prospect, a decent safety and ILB would be nice, too.

Round 1
Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State -- Reminds me of Darrelle Revis.
Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama -- Nick Collins' replacement.
Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville -- All over the Field.
C.J. Mosley, ILB, Alabama -- I think he'd compliment Hawk well.
Ryan Shazier, OLB, Ohio State -- Speed Kills.

Round 2
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington -- His skill set mirrors Rob Gronkowski.
Kyle Van Noy, OLB, BYU -- Using him inside intrigues me.
Jimmie Ward, S, Northern Illinois -- Is my top choice if no safety in round one.
Deone Bucannon, S, Washington State -- Height-Weight-Speed
Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech -- Moves the Sticks

Round 3
Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU -- Better tape than Odell Beckham Jr.
Jared Abbrederis, WR, Wisconsin -- Try and find his game against Ohio State on youtube.
Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State -- Good upside
Shayne Skov, ILB Stanford -- Health is a concern, but his skill set is close to Mosley.
Terrance Brooks, S, Florida State -- Good upside and versatility.

Round 3B
Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State -- Could drop because of depth of this WR class.
Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame -- Good blocker. Receiving skills need developing.
Ahmad Dixon, S, Baylor -- Atari Bigby circa 2007.
Ed Reynolds, S, Stanford -- Reads and Reacts Well
Chris Smith, OLB, Arkansas -- Quick, strong, and hustles.

wow great summary porky.

from your menu I choose:
C.J. Mosley, ILB, Alabama
Jimmie Ward, S, Northern Illinois
Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU
Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame

I tried to address all the areas of need I could. I wouldn't mind more help on the DL but that wasn't here on your short list board.

It was a real toss up between HaHa and CJ. You have more options at S than you do for ILB. It would be great to grab someone (Skov) who is nearly as good as Mosley in round 3 but I am simply worn out when it comes to selecting players who are predisposed to injury.

Taking Ward as the long term solution at S worries me to no end. While I am an NIU alum I still don't respect the MAC like I should. And NIU's offense was stellar against other small schools, the defense was pretty mediocre. Ward may be all of that and a bag of chips but I am still a tad skeptical. That said he seems to be the best option left and GB needs someone at S even if they move Hyde over.

I waited until the 3rd as you have plenty of WR in this round. Initially I was going to take Robinson with the 3B selection but I don't need a second ILB or S so I a lot of choices at 3A. Adams may be a better long term solution than Landry but that old mid major concern is biting me in the butt again. Obviously it is better to have to rely on a mid major as the 3rd or 4th WR than the #2 S but I deferred to your ranking.

I got to Niklas by default. I would certainly rather have ASJ but despite my concerns I think Ward will be better than Dixon or Reynolds.

In retrospect I could easily be talked into a switch and taking AS-J in round 2 and Reynolds in 3. What fun.
