Either that or he trades down because of the talent available though I would rather see the trade up and get 2 talents. If the boards don't change (and it will) I seriously doubt you would get a draft like this one. One can hope though.

I've done about a hundred of these just to the point of clicking to the "skip to my pick" just to see who is available and I would say players like Donald, Jernigan were hardly ever available. maybe 4 or 5 times each at most and probably never both in one draft. Pryor maybe half the time, Nix maybe 40%. Roby and Mosely were almost always available and Hageman has been available a lot now, I think he was downgraded like Mosley.

I might rather add a NT, S or ILB early. Getting two of those top players could really help this defense. Not thinking we have to trade up to do it either. We might be OK sitting tight or trading back. Seems like there is a really solid group of defenders in this draft for us to choose from, going well into R4.

It will be cool to see how Ted treats this (at least I hope so!). Will he trade up or down?

If Ted finds a way to move back 5 to ten spots I could see him having the best draft he has ever put together. Man there is a lot of talent laying around in the 2nd and third rounds.

This a draft and developers dream list.

I wanted to see what would come of an uber-trade-down approach. My goal was to get as many picks in the third and early fourth as possible.

(Mosley and Pryor were already gone at 21 in this draft, FWIW)

Here's what I ended up with:

Your score is: 4336 (GRADE: B+)

Your Picks:
Round 3 Pick 4 (ATL): Weston Richburg, C, Colorado State (A)
Round 3 Pick 19 (CLE): Yawin Smallwood, ILB, Connecticut (B+)
Round 3 Pick 20 (ARI): C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa (B)
Round 3 Pick 21: Daniel McCullers, DT, Tennessee (B+)
Round 3 Pick 25 (S.D.): JaWuan James, OT, Tennessee (C+)
Round 3 Pick 27 (N.O.): DaQuan Jones, DT, Penn State (A)
Round 3 Pick 34 (COMP): Anthony Steen, OG, Alabama (C-)
Round 4 Pick 6 (CLE): Ahmad Dixon, SS, Baylor (C+)
Round 4 Pick 19 (DAL): Rashaad Reynolds, CB, Oregon State (A)
Round 4 Pick 26 (N.O.): Ryan Grant, WR, Tulane (A)
Round 5 Pick 21: TJ Jones, WR, Notre Dame (A)
Round 5 Pick 36 (COMP): Nat Berhe, SS, San Diego State (B+)
Round 6 Pick 20 (ARI): Nikita Whitlock, DE, Wake Forest (D)
Round 7 Pick 14 (DAL): Pierre Warren, FS, Jacksonville State (D-)
Round 7 Pick 16 (DAL): Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma (C+)
Round 7 Pick 23 (DAL): De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (A-)

Had to put this one up.

First I traded down two spots with KC to get a 6th. Was not much compensation, but both Mosley and Pryor were still on board, so figured it was no-lose since at least one would still be there at 23.

Oops. Both were gone. Starting with a mistake.

But then the idiot Vikings bailed me out, offering early picks in 2nd, 3rd and 4th plus a late third, leaving me with a total of 8 picks in the top 104.

Missed out on second DL I wanted (either Ed Stinson/Brett Urban in 5th or Ryan Carrethers in 6th) and didn't get my late round favorite Whitloe at FS, but this may be my favorite iteration so far even if it trails my highest "score" by over 500 points.

Any thoughts? The more I play with this, the more I think this is a trade-down kind of draft. Even you don't share my belief in a need to upgrade OL, or spending two picks on WRs, there is a *lot* of good talent that is going to be there between picks 50 and 100. In a year when the Packers have more holes than usual to fill, this may be one of those drafts where 2nd/3rd/early 4th can fill more than usual.

Your score is: 4294 (GRADE: B+)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 21: Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame (A-) At worst, will be solid #2; at best, will challenge Quarless to improve and yield 1A and 1B results.
Round 2 Pick 22 (PHI): Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech (B+) Instant upgrade IMO. If Perry responds to challenge, great; if not, still an improvement. Competition is good.
Round 3 Pick 8 (MINN): Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU (A). Okay, maybe I'll get over James Jones' departure sooner rather than later.
Round 3 Pick 21: Daniel McCullers, DT, Tennessee (B+). Everyone knows what I think about Raji. The only way he holds McCullers off is if he plays up to what y'all think he is capable of. Maybe my favorite pick of the draft.
Round 3 Pick 22 (PHI): Yawin Smallwood, ILB, Connecticut (B+). Instant upgrade from Brad Jones.
Round 3 Pick 32 (MINN): JaWuan James, OT, Tennessee (B-). IMO he is good enough to beat out either Bahktiari or Bulaga. But at the very least this is a major improvement in OL depth.
Round 3 Pick 34 (COMP): Rashaad Reynolds, CB, Oregon State (B+). Can't have enough good corners.
Round 4 Pick 8 (MINN): Anthony Steen, OG, Alabama (C). Potential for upgrading from Lang, if not immediately, within a year or two. At worst, improvement in OL depth.
Round 4 Pick 21: Ahmad Dixon, SS, Baylor (B) My second favorite pick. I know we need FS more, but IMO offers more upside than Loston, the only FS possibly still available here.
Round 5 Pick 21: TJ Jones, WR, Notre Dame (A-) Too good to pass up. I wanted Stinson or Urban or Christian Jones (ILB) here but were all gone.
Round 5 Pick 36 (COMP): Nat Berhe, SS, San Diego State (B+) Thought of him at 21 but hoped he'd fall. Great tacklers. Plays both SS and FS well (and can be extra CB in emergency).
Round 6 Pick 21: Max Bullough, ILB, Michigan State (D). It's the sixth round. Another ILB for competition.
Round 6 Pick 24 (K.C.): Rajion Neal, RB, Tennessee (B-). Great hands/receiving ability. And its the sixth round.
Round 7 Pick 21: Pierre Warren, FS, Jacksonville State (D-). Another body at a position of need. And its the seventh round. Tried to ID a FA that would get more competition from other teams.

Key after-draft free agents: C (Ikard?), QB (Gilbert?), speed demon RB/WR/KR/PR (Thomas?)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Here is my new favorite, even though it didn't come close to my high score.

Once again Ha Ha dropped to me at 21, Dennard was also there, so I used a future 1st rnd pick and the 2nd rnd pick to trade up for him.

Then traded out of the 3rd rnd to pick up 2 extra 4th rnd picks and was able to address most of The Packers needs.
ILB gets real thin after the 1st 3 rnds, there was no-one available who was the best option to take.
Unlike most, I can live with Hawk, Jones, Lattimore, Barrington and Victor Aiyewa going into 2014.
Especially if Mosley goes early, and Ted would have to "reach" to grab a Borland or a Zumwalt, when there are better options at other positions.

Other drafts Mosely has fallen to 21, but there always seems to be a higher rated player also there to draft instead.

Your score is: 5364 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 21: Hasean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama (A)
Round 1 Pick 22 (PHI): Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State (A)
Round 3 Pick 34 (COMP): Martavis Bryant, WR, Clemson (A)
Round 4 Pick 5 (JAX): Charles Sims, RB, West Virginia (A)
Round 4 Pick 14 (JAX): Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU (A)
Round 4 Pick 21: Cameron Fleming, OT, Stanford (B+)
Round 5 Pick 21: Ronald Powell, OLB, Florida (A)
Round 5 Pick 36 (COMP): Isaiah Lewis, SS, Michigan State (A)
Round 6 Pick 21: A.C. Leonard, TE, Tennessee State (B+)
Round 7 Pick 21: Kerry Hyder, DE, Texas Tech (A-)

Your Future Picks:
2016 Round 1 Pick
