I've been saying it all along, was hoping this year would be different, but always knew that Ted wasn't going to jump into the day1 "money mania" that is NFL FA's

Hell Ted surprised me by paying Sam Shields, it just goes to show he knows which of "his guys" he wants to keep.
The Browns forced his hand and he made sure Sam didn't go anywhere.

Mike Neal was healthy the whole season for the 1st time in his career, switched positions and showed he was versatile enough to play both OLB and D-Line.

Whatever he was payed, well worth it, he is only going to get better.

Ted wasn't going to let all 16 FA's go, that's why all these reports of how much more money The Packers had to spend this year wasn't taking in the whole picture.

Ted could have signed any of those 1st day guys, but then signing Sam Shields may not have been an option.
Or what about Jordy and Randall, they are going to get paid by next year, maybe just maybe Ted is looking ahead, making sure there is money to lock them up.

This nonsense of saying well The Packers are already done for 2014 because Ted didn't sign a day 1 FA is silly.

Daniels , Boyd, Jones, Worthy and now Neal(he will play all over in 2014) is a pretty good start to a young agrresives D-Line, throw in a Jolly Pickett and/or Raji and you add the veteran leadership needed.

Only day 2 you never know still plenty of D-line FA out there getting restless as they sit unemployed.
Ted may yet strike when the price is right.

Do we factor in what he did with the back-up QB situation last year? I do. The man seems asleep at the switch.

It really feels like MANY of us clowns could do at least as good a job as he does, and I mean REALLY.

of course, I personally vote for me.

Of course not.

But if you restrict yourself to players willing to take Mike Neal dollars, you're most likely to get ... Mike Neals.

Which, IMO, offers no significant improvement over the status quo.

Because it *IS* that status quo.

Neal does not get money which will prevent any other signing with the space we have this year.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : on new site, would Fan Shout and GameDay Chat show same messages?
Mucky Tundra (10-Mar) : The Hall of Fame stuff probably came from a scout as Zero said; at this point though it's hard to see them moving ZT from RT
Mucky Tundra (10-Mar) : Regarding ZT at C, Gute had said he felt C was ZTs best position after he was drafted.
Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : LB Oren Burks to sign a 2-year, $5M deal with the Bengals.
Zero2Cool (10-Mar) : Based on how it was worded at the time, probably scout.
beast (10-Mar) : I don't think the media person ever told the public the source, but Gute or LaFleur did say they thought Tom has earned his spot at OT
beast (10-Mar) : I think it was supposedly unnamed Packers source
buckeyepackfan (10-Mar) : Was that Gute or Lefleur or someone else?
