Bakhtiari wasn't all that impressive? lol

He only played better than the top overall pick and the other top 5 Olineman who were taken in that same draft.

Just because he may have played better than other rookies drafted higher than him really doesn't mean anything. Being slightly better than other potentially shitty players doesn't necessary make a player good.

With that being said, he definitely has potential, and he could really take the next step this off season. I certainly hope he does. Aaron Rodgers needs it!

It's funny (to me) how Bakhtiari plays a full season as a rookie and people still think Sherrod is a starter.

With a full offseason to practice I think Bakthiari can gel the LT position and Bulaga can then play RT while Sherrod gets some kind of injury or battles with Newhouse to backup Barclay at backup tackle.

I have cited this here before and what a surprise, you missed it. Prior to his injury Bryan Bulaga was performing so well people were saying the switch from RT to LT was brilliant. Bulaga was also the only OL to not have lost a one on one battle during training camp.

And who was he playing against one-on-one in the Packers camp? Packers' DL? Unless all of his one-on-ones were against Matthews, maybe, that to me is a meaningless stat.

IMO Packer fans have been overrating Bulaga from the get go. Not as much as they have overrated Lang and before him, ahem, Colledge and later-years Clifton, but overrating him nonetheless.

I'd be okay with Bulaga somewhere on the line IF the OL had two other OL somewhere (instead of just one in Sitton). But to my mind he's still somewhere in the range between "serviceable" and "serviceable with potential improvement." In other words, the upper range within which all Packer linemen not named Sitton or Tauscher have been since 2005.

I think we can label all of our O-lineman not named Sitton as serviceable. We vastly overrate our players. Just because EDS is way better than a beat to shit old man Saturday, doesn't mean his job isn't in jeopardy next season. And too many are counting out Derrek Sherrod at LT. He was drafted to be the LT of the future. I think we have enough to work with, but by all means we have not arrived yet. San Francisco made mined meat of our line twice in 2013, so we have a long way to go.

Actually, there is not one position group where we could not use an upgrade. Good time for raw BPA.
