I like Doubs but he probably doesn’t have a ton of trade value. He hasn’t cracked 700 yards in a season despite there not being another guy on the team putting up big numbers. The aforementioned concussion concerns and getting suspended for a game last year don’t help.
If a team traded for him they would be looking to give him a contract extension since he’s on his final year. So they would have to really love the guy to do that. Otherwise, I think you have to look at it like a one year rental, and while his contract is easy to manage, that probably means it would be tough to get more than a 4th rounder or something like that for him.
If they trade for a WR I could see him being part of the deal, but with Watson’s injury and general uncertainty next year I expect them to keep him. Trading Doubs means the Packers need to replace 2 of their top 3 WRs for the start of the upcoming season. It's not an impossible task but probably not a position Gutekunst wants to be in.
If Watson was healthy and Wicks could catch I think there would be a solid argument to say they should get what they can for Doubs because they're probably not going to resign both Doubs and Watson. But with the current situation, I think he provides more value to the Packers than to another team.
