McCarthy has his flaws with play calling here and there but for the most part he calls a good game and attacks an opponents weaknesses, schemes around his offenses weaknesses, makes good adjusments throughout a game and generally has the team ready to play. I thought he did a fantastic job this year specifically with working around struggles with Bakhtiari/Barclay/Newhouse so much so that a lot of times you didn't even notice those guys were struggling and it didn't take over the game. I feel like a lot of teams probably wouldn't field a top 10 offense with struggling Ts on each end and 3rd/4th string QBs playing half the season.

He also seems to me like a good Head Coach in general. He doesn't lose the locker room through adversity and the team always has a good atmosphere and personality about it. They play down to a lesser opponents level sometimes but it's not often and they are usually up for the big games. This team rarely ever gives up. I don't think you should get rid of a coach who has had a lot of success unless it seems he's lost the confidence of the staff/players etc..

Actually, our Offense is as good as it is because we have Aaron Rodgers.

Mike knows what he's doing. He just needs to be more aggressive. But sometimes he's overly aggressive. We run both the downfield and dink and dunk offenses well, but he never utilizes both.

MM is just an average coach. If it wasn't for Rodgers, he may be another just another Mike Sherman. When was the last time that he out coached the other coach? Mike McCarthy is a stubborn SOB.
Wish he wouldstick to HC duties and not put most of his energy into play calling. Isn't that the OC's job?

Your talking about one of the highest winning percentage coaches among the current HC's. I think it's conceded here that three or four more losses would have been wins had it not been for all the guys out half the year.

So who you going to replace him with? If he did leave it would take all of about an hour for another team to grab him up.

His offense came out of this season with extremely good numbers considering all the games missed by several important parts of the team for extended periods of time.

I guarantee that Arod would be the first to say that having McCarthy there beside him going way back to when he was sitting on the bench till now is huge in his success. The is no OC/QB combination in that league that knows, trusts, or understands the other better then these two.

So because McCarthy is the HC he shouldn't be the OC? Since when? There's HC's in control of one side of the ball or the other depending on their expertise all thru this league.

I know they lost another playoff game to the 49'rs and people are pissed off but there's a lot of suggestions for change around here that look to me to be more about letting themselves be pissed off then the change being a good thing.
