I Really liked dom when he first got here ... problem is lots of teams must know how to prepare for him; I dont see us getting pressure like other teams and the 3-4 is supposed to be about pressure. I See other teams able to 'fool' the opposing Oline and QB. Often see just 4 rushers on other teams cause sacks and pressure more then we do with 5-6 rushing.

I just hope we never get rid of kevin greene.

A few weeks ago I was as rabid as anyone (well, almost anyone) in my calls for Capers' head, but now I'm not sure firing Capers will help at all. This defense has two glaring needs, and a new DC isn't one of them. We lack a consistent pass rush and a good Free Safety. Our secondary has been toasted consistently since we lost Nick Collins. We never really learned how to play well without him. A fast, ball-hawking safety and another pass rusher (I know, I know...) and we'll be top-10.

Yes we do, but because our best defender is the best OLB in the league - I would be very surprised if we switched back to a 4-3.

We need a complete overhaul on D. Period. 4-3. 3-4. Doesn't matter. Add, Matthews may in fact make a better WSLB in a 4-3. When healthy, he makes plays.

I can't think about the coaching crap. That's for the organization to decide. But I can easily say that we need to hit better on our draft picks on defense and lady luck needs to stop being such a whore.

We are going to need, at the very least, a mistake-free draft. Add to this a veteran S and ILB. That might give us a fix without changing the DC. Figure, too, we must address the interior of our DL with Raji out the door, and Pickett on his last legs.

Rodgers' injury pointed clearly to our main problem being subpar defensive talent.
