Besides, who can blame people for not wanting to sit through that kind of weather? It's fine for those that want to, but I can't blame anyone for choosing not to. Especially considering the money many will save.

EDIT: One thing that I find increases my game-day experience a little is to have the radio broadcast in one ear throughout the game. It allows me to keep track of details that most would miss otherwise, but still be active and in the moment at the game. Ear-buds work perfect. I would recommend it if anyone hasn't tried it before.

Edit again: Yeah, one has to be extreme to go to this game! heh heh.

I realize that there are/were a lot of variables involved with this game what with the weather and how the season went and all but still we rely on a bailout.

Obviously when the initial offer went out it looked as if the Packers might not even make it and the fact that the offer of a refund if they didn't was removed I am sure that made a lot of people's minds up. If the Packers were sitting with a 2 game lead in the division I am sure many more season ticket holders would have made the purchase then. Also, I have no doubt that if the forecast was for 30 degrees and sunny it would have sold out a lot faster as well.

I knew someone would step up and buy the remaining tickets if need be so I was not worried about the blackout but like I said, for a bunch of fans who pride themselves on supporting their team it is a bit embarrassing. I recall reading posts on other Packers forums in the past where Packer fans were chiding other fans for not selling out or having trouble selling out playoff games.

Take away any one of the 5-6 issues including this being the 5th year in a row GB has made the playoffs and simply not having time to make reasonable arrangements for fans who live more than a few hours away to get flights, lodging or the time off work. Even factoring in the additions seats and the fact that the average fan is not use to being able to buy playoff tickets from the Packers instead of on the secondary markets.

Keep in mind there are not very many teams who could have faced all the adversities GB faced an still have sold out.

Whether it sells out just before the deadline or several days, it doesn't matter to me. There are exceptions to everything, and this has been a season full of exceptions. A few overly verbose fans that brag too much don't reflect the general fan base.

I just don't think Packer fans have anything to be embarrassed about.

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
